Cobra Have Made A HUGE SHAFT MISTAKE In 2025!?

  1. I absolutely love my same length irons. I have the (2024) Cobra forged tec 1 length in the 7-g. I also have a cobra MB gap that is bent to 52° plus its a 2° upright lie, and it is a 1/4 inch shorter than the tec gap, which is my 48°. My wedge (55 loft with 11° bounce) is a volkey that is also 2° upright and it is 1/2 shorter than the MB 52°. I never swing my wedge more than a 1/2 swing.

  2. Power bats with knuckle ball flights, both sets, most folk would not need the 5 iron, as they don't have enough speed to launch them, which is why you need to test more than just a 7 iron when fitting 😮

  3. Had them loved them, issue was with shorter irons. Reason i had them was after shoulder injury and were so much easier and more consistent

  4. I think a great concept for these one lengths would’ve been Standard six iron through pitching wedge meaning variable length and then have 345 iron I’ll be the same length as the six iron I think that would be very favorable and not too alien to so many people it’s really hard to get over looking at a pitching wedge that’s the length of a seven iron and then you end up hitting it a mile high

  5. I’m not sure there is anything there James….lets face it you just took the wrappers off 4 years later so even you weren’t interested

  6. I always thought the challenge with one-length irons were that almost no one preferred the longer short irons and wedges and the longer irons and hybrids struggled to get the distance as the variable length. How many people complain about their gap wedge being too short?

  7. I build my own 5-PW with Pinhawk Single-Length heads to 6-iron length, and Grafalloy blue Super-Charged shafts. One swing. No loss of distance and better accuracy. And oh yeah, less chunking or thinning my shots! Cheaper, too! $40 per club, opposed to $120.

  8. When you have an upright swing stance I think the one length can be helpful. I think Bob from Bob does sports would benefit greatly from one length clubs. Don’t know why I said that. Also. Cobra makes the best clubs. They deserve more love.

  9. Recently bought Aerojet one length set. Found the seven, eight nine and gap wedge ok. Couldn't get the six, five and 4hybrid into the air. All came off low and no carry. I'm usually a player with a high ball flight so they're going on eBay shortly. 😒

  10. Oh heeeeey, that's my clubs lol or part of my clubs. Had the SZ one lengths for several years now and still really like them. Last year I got a set of the rad speed standard irons for a person reason but also to blend in shorter irons. Not that I really had an issue with OL 9 or P, but did just want the standards back there.
I imagine sells just dropped way off because I can't imagine many OL players are also the kind of player to upgrade every year or even every other year. I could be in the market for a newer set of them but it's still not really a NEED imo.

  11. Wow.. 4 year old irons and still in a wrapper. If you ever want to ship some irons to Canada, I might know a guy that could use them. 😊😉😉

  12. As a fairly new golfer, I'd love to try the one length idea.
As I don't have a huge history with 8,9,P & G 'supposed' to be shorter, it all makes a heap of sense to me.
Same stance, same swing, different result.
Just always feels like an expensive experiment if I don't get one with them.

  13. Cobra currently has 3 sets of one-length irons for sale on their website so they may not be pushing them as much but they are still part of their business plan.

  14. I had Wishon one length irons for 5 years. I have now switched back to traditional lengths. Not much difference. I do like the traditional lengths for my wedges. I feel I have more control.

  15. You should do a video with a high handicap player and compare the normal set they use to the one length to see if a change would improve there game I would be up for that playing of 18 I fat my long irons thin my short irons hit 7 ok

  16. I remember when Bryson first came on Tour and would tell anybody that would listen how one-length was the future, a lot of guys would be switching soon, how all the OEM’s would soon be coming out with one-length sets, blah, blah, blah. I’m still waiting …🤔

  17. Thanks for doing this video, James! There are 3 one length options on the web site, including this year's King Tec X. That might make for a good test later. This year's model vs. the older SpeedZone. Cheers!
