Join Luke the Weekend Tour Pro as he reviews the brand new premium construction Wilson Triad golf ball! Building on their hugely successful previous model, this new version (released in January 2025), is according to Wilson is the world’s most perfectly balanced golf ball that will help you hit more fairways, attack more pins and sink more putts! Can it deliver on those claims in the hands of an average swing speed, mid-handicap golfer – let’s find out!
Luke starts the video by introducing you to the new Wilson Triad by talking through its construction, price point and the enhanced performance we should expect to see in my testing during this review.
Luke then puts the Wilson Triad through its paces in a full through the bag test. Starting off with a short game test hitting a 20 yard pitch shot to test how quickly the Wilson Triad stops around the green. Luke then moves onto full shots starting with a Pitching Wedge to see if the Triad allows you to attack pins at this part of the bag!
This is followed by a mid-iron test using a 7 Iron to see if we get that perfect combination of distance, high ball flight and spin to give control where so many of us need it most with the Wilson. Finally Luke tests if he can hit more fairways and long drives with this new version of the Triad.
For each section of the test, Luke will hit a batch of shots, giving you his immediate feedback on feels, sounds and any standout data points before completing a comprehensive deep dive into all the TrackMan data, including a comparison vs. the Titleist Pro V1.
Luke ends the video by giving you his final thoughts, including why he loves the new Wilson Triad and why it might be going into his bag for the 2025 season!

Would love to see this vs Mizuno pro s
Love the Wilson Triad, great ball for the price.
Got a box of the previous version. It will be interesting to see how this one performs. It's between the triad and the TM tour response for me. I do love the alignment tool on the TM ball however.
Great review Luke. I came close to using this ball last year but, as you know, I ended up going with the Vice Pro Plus. I’ll look forward to hearing about your on course testing. Hopefully you’ll be able to comment on the durability of the ball when you get it on course. Sometimes durability is a concern with slightly less premium ball
I tried the Triad after your review of balls about a month ago. Previous year model, 2 doz for 60 dollars. Great ball, good feel, holds the green, good distance. Looks like I’ll move on to the 2025 soon. Thanks for the reviews. Much appreciated.
Looking forward to trying the new ball as the current model is my gamer. It just feels the sweet spot compression wise for a 90mph SS. I do really like the slightly firmer z star diamond in warm weather however as it flies higher and spins like a pro v1x with a softer feel and you can pick them up for £34 from a well known online retailer.
I agree. This or the Bridgestone. How has this version changed for 2025?
A great trustworthy source. Thank you
Luke, thank you for another excellent review of a golf ball. As I mentioned the last time you reviewed the Wilson Triad, I was very impressed with it and put it in my bag. It’s super that the most recent version of it is even better. Thanks for letting us know!
Nice review. The triad is my current gamer and I love it. Sometimes I switch it out with the duosofts if temperatures are getting low. We have exactly the same swingspeeds so these reviews are very valuable for me👌
I don’t think I will use anything else then the triad, I’ve used a few balls and the Triad just feels better, lasts longer (I’ve played 3 rounds with one triad, I only retired it because it was so dirty). It must fly straighter too, I lose less of them, which makes them extremely cheap.
Hot Damn!! I bought 6 doz after your last video and will definitely want to try the newer model ones as I really like a sub 85 compression ball. FWIW the previous generation TRIAD gave great numbers on TM4 & I/O as well and the feel was AMAZING. Thanks for the efforts in these videos 🙏
I have 2 dozen of current model to use. Problem I have is in winter I’ll use almost any ball as so easy to lose a ball in the low sun, wet leaves, plugging etc. I find so many good balls as well just today have found 8 balls that are all playable so have gone in the bag
would love to see you do the new VICE PRO AIR or and the VICE PRO cheers from Canada
