Spoiler Alert, Please watch all of the matches before you read the Comments. 😊
The contestants bowled well in the 1979 Brunswick Regional Players Championship Full Telecast on Alleys 35 & 36.
Was this the very first show on espn
This was not on my bingo card at all, but what a gem! Any time you get to see Guppy and Mark Roth at their peak is fantastic – and a great reminder that Guppy had the 300s-in-a-season record for 10 years!
imagine that lane condition back then when plastic was ready early 🤣🤣
Thanks great stuff, keep em coming, wow Roth already had 20 Titles before this Tourney
And for those wondering, Guppy Troup is the father of current PBA superstar Kyle Troup.
No one can touch Irishpogi. I realize you are still looking for your first turkey, but still… 😉For me this is like seeing a new telecast each week of the format we all love, as everything they air these days is well off the beaten path.
Thanks a lot for posting this one Pogi…I'm a lifelong resident of Rochester and bowled for the first time ever at Olympic in '78.
In '79 Olympic was a BRC (Brunswick Recreation Centers) center, hence the Brunswick masks in front of AMF pinspotters. Marcel Fournier didn't buy Olympic until a year or two later IIRC.
Like you, I'm good friends with the guy you got these videos from, and I'm appalled, YES APPALLED, that he never posted this for my benefit. I shall have words with him immediately 😁
Dale Glenn is Dale Eagle!
