The new PING G440 Irons feature a distance-driven design that includes a 9% thinner clubface than the previous generation, resulting in more ball speed and higher launch. Plus, a shallower face and shorter blade length make the PING G440 irons not just a great performing set of irons, but also a great looking set of irons.

How’d you fix the hook?
Ping made many statements that are not exactly true. He needed to sort and look at things a little different. But he is the ping guy so it is what it is.
Blast, I was looking at getting fit for G430 or i530 and now I just don’t know 😅 Mind you, if the 430s come down in price, as a pensioner ….. Great review, thanks heaps
The loft change corrects their main g430 error
Yep that weird extra club sucks I’ll probly switch just based on that annoyance
The G440 line up looks to clean up the looks and feel of the G430 line up. My brother-in-law has the G430 irons and I couldn't get past the looks of the PurFlex "flaps" on back. So glad they finally put a badge on the back. Looks much cleaner.
Honestly, this new one doesn’t look good at all to me and is disappointing since ping is on a 2 year cycle.
I have the G430s and actually like the look of the club a lot. Performance wise on my current 430s; I get the straightest shots ever, the most insane height which is pure stopping power, and the sound from the 430s sound better (at least from what you hear in the video).
And while I love 2nd swing, this really isn’t a review but rather a debut. We need to see this in comparison to the other big boys this year.
Much better looking than the G430 ! It was flat out ugly ! They addressed the appearance of that gross looking badge of the G430 !
Confusing! This debut caused me to consider another brand. My clubs are old G5's and I like the 140 ish 7 iron but Retro on the new stuff seem to produce a 190 yard 7. I like the looks of this iron but wonder if I will be able to change the club from standard to retro or do I have to purchase the "retro" set like the G430's?
Hasn’t Ping always offered power and retro specs on G series irons? Why is the Ping guy making out like this is a breakthrough discovery?
Still 4 wedges from PW to SW. The LW has been removed
If a single figure like Drew has to be fit into retro specs to get satisfactory launch conditions, what hope does a typical G consumer (mid/high handicap) have of fitting into the standard specs? And why don’t they just make retro specs the standard specs if nobody except for Bryson can play standard?
Glad they got rid of the extra wedge! Hope that trend goes away, but I'll stick with my G425's
Not quite sure what this video achieves 🤷♂️
