  1. Salvatore Mundi didn’t exactly put in flawless round of jumping , so in that respect , and being first time out , that was satisfactory for connections .

  2. This guy JD is a great comedian , but he’s the worst judge of a racehorse I’ve ever seen . I’m amazed he has a title of professional gambler .

  3. One for next week, who would win in the champion hurdle between brighter days ahead and Lossiemouth and would this change if they both raced in the mares hurdle

  4. Or, established trainers Johnny. Like Gordon Elliot. Apparently he likes a bet. Right Gordon. I know you’re watching!🤓

  5. Suggestion. Can you please print on screen both of the lads picks. It’s so us older types can remember the next day, no offense!!🤓

  6. Love the show lads , David i wondered if you could ask Johnny a question ? What was his opinion and memories of Carvills Hill. For me was a great horse one of the best never to win a Gold Cup he won 17 races out of 24 .

  7. Crikey, Johnny might have found one at last. Was that all his own work, or did someone give him a helpful nudge? When you are knocking on a bit three runs ago can be a long time. Delta Work might just have gone, hence the price. Djelo looks a Grade 2 horse, and is likely better going right-handed. Seems unlikely to be good enough.

  8. Johnny, you must have been doing well, if you could afford to stay at the Sandy Lane hotel. Did JP give you a discount?

I can't wait to see Salvator Mundi jump a fence. DEFINITELY a contender, for the Arkle, in 2026

  9. This and The final furlong are the best racing podcasts. Mainly because you dont say 'umm' every other word. Great content guys 😊

  10. Aintree used to hold flat racing. Red Rum dead heated in his first race over five furlongs at Aintree. The last flat race meeting held there was in 1976.

  11. Never heard anyone pronounce "any" to rhyme with "canny" and not "many". Is that a common Irish thing or is it just DJ?

  12. Not sure if some tracks not being dual code is really a "joke". It's an interesting idea but hardly something to get outraged about!

  13. I'm confused 🤔 The horse got beaten easy by Sir Geno. It was a great form. Alas then did not run for a year finished 6th in tje Triumph. Then came out and beat statues. Came out again almost a year hood, Tonge tie, and other aids. Jumped average yet, based on that, it's 7/2 fav for the Supreme. Now, if Mullins had him for almost 2 years, you're telling me come March in 2 months, all the above issues will be gone. 😢 I don't think so.

  14. Don't get it, midweek treat, long odds on wow, you got 4 on the trot. How did you pick that 1/2. How on earth last week did you find that 4/11 it must have taken hours of study to sort that one out.

  15. Love the way Johnny looks like he just rolled out of bed for a televized show, week in week out. Couldn't give a monkeys! Legend.
