Actually, 2 and 1 are reversed..and 3 is actually almost simultaneous to 2. A split second difference maybe.. But nothing really perceivable consciously. It doesn't look so because the camera angle is at the ball forward and not mid body, so it LOOKS like 3 is hanging back. It's actually right on top of 2 until the left leg pushes up. These camera angles fooled me for years until gears. That's how ALL illusions are performed…lol.
