Really comprehensive review here! You guys are really laying everything out better than most of the other channels that are just dropping marketing specs!
I appreciate the review as well.. Ive been messing around with the top end of my bag and ended up with a 4wood/7wood combo and I love it.
ping is way ahead of the game with the 4 wood, i think a LOT of good golfers will fit into it
@2ndswing. My only problem with PING is that they've always (at least historically speaking) been behind on ball speed compared to TM/ Callaway in the woods. YES, I go to high end fitters and we explore every Ventus shaft on the wall….Hopefully this year, the ball speed is competitive with TM/ Callaway because I would love to own/ play a PING 440 driver and 3 wood….we'll see.
The 425 7 wood became my favorite club ever. I HIGHLY recommend it if the low irons are a problem. My best shots all came with this club. I don’t like hybrids and went 5 and 7 wood. My 7 wood is SO versatile.
Personally I love the addition of an lst 5 wood..my longest wood currently is a 5 wood with a slightly shorter shaft that I can loft up or down, basically have a 4 wood to a 7 wood as needed. Sorry to see Ping built in increasing draw bias to the higher lofted hybrids in this line tho? But I guess that's what their testing must have said was most useful for their audience.
Thanks! Seeing reviews on the LST vs the Max… Do you really see much difference in the two heads (3W and 5W)? I'd love to see a comparison of those two as I think about ditching my 3WLST. It's great to hit bombs 9as was the Stealth2, but is it really necessary?
Could you add the summary section of the TM data? Is hte G440 3WMax the same as G440 3WLST for example? And then worth the extra price
Any rumors of a Ping mini driver? That face tech sounds perfect for a mini driver
I’m about 114 with driver. I put a 425 7w in a year ago. I probably have the same GIR with that from 230ish as I do with a 7iron. It’s a cheat code for par 5s
I play a 2 iron, and I carry 250 with it, I don’t need any fairway woods. But I want one if only to have the option to swap out based on how that day is. Golf is an expensive and cruel sport 😅
Sorry but why would you not hit the 5 wood LST in the tensei Black X. The CB stiff is obviously not the shaft for you and it certainly muddied the numbers. Maybe I’m being cynical but it feels a tad disingenuous.
