  3. This is unbelievable. I’ve never seen instruction like this before. Thanks, Craig. Keep up the good work.

  4. I think I'm starting to get it. A lot of it is in how the trail hand is helping in the release of the club. When you look at those slo-mo videos from head on, it seems like the lead arm basically stops moving, but the trail hand almost pushes the club forward to get the typical release image we see form pros. Man, this'll be a hard one to learn.

  5. Wally Armstrong’s Maximizing Your Game and Everything About It had a segment where he demonstrates a Hanger Training Aid included with his 1992 golf instruction videos. He emphasized this same principle in his instruction.
I’ve watched that Fred Couples demonstration-explanation of his downswing and release numerous time but it never made sense until I watched your explanation of the release.

  6. Craig, your editing and presentation style make this video both entertaining and informative. Top-notch work.

  7. The way you break down the wrists and hands is absolutely brilliant. Makes such a difference. Thanks, Craig

  8. Appreciate the detailed breakdown! I have a quick question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (mistake turkey blossom warfare blade until bachelor fall squeeze today flee guitar). How can I transfer them to Binance?

  9. Great content as ever Craig. One thing you don’t seem to mention with your release instruction is the ‘exit left’ or ‘low and left’ exit; do you try to encourage that? I think a lot of our problems stem from these static pictures of a very dynamic action as Padraig says. Top golfers I am sure do not think about an impact position

  10. I think the clubface rolling over is the reason I have no accuracy with my irons. I generally have pretty good timing and get good distance on my shots (Driver carry 230-240, 7i carry 150-155), but I can't consistently hit my irons on the same line. I feel the clubhead release at impact, but I think I roll my hands instead of hinging them. I'll try to learn to do the latter.

  11. Question on the concept at 9.30 – If I take a stronger grip, I'm assuming I need to make sure the club face is sitting neutral to open? to avoid a huge hook?

  12. I literally cringe when I see golfers take short choppy practice swings were they don’t side bend or release the back foot to let their hips open past 45° because they inevitably finish their full swings that way. The full swing the grip can’t stop the club head moment and it flips past the hands.

I’ve completely changed my approach to teaching noob. I now start by statically posing where a pro is as the ball releases off the face of a 7 iron: Hips open 45°, lumbar spine bent, back heel barely off the ground, eyes and head look past the ball to spot on the ground near it, etc. I have the stand erect then go back to that position a few times then have them start at address, up to the top and back down. With very little verbal prompting once their conscious brain understand the goal and accepts it must be the ‘right way’ since all the pros do it similarly their subconscious reflexive brains figure out in 3-5 swings how get back to impact.

I’d had people with chronic over the top slices suddenly start hitting draw and hook, always missing left not right because they don’t know where the trail arm and club need to point relative to the target line which is the simple next step once they understand how to get down to the optimal impact position. The comment afterwards is always of the variety, “Gee I had no I idea I was supposed to be like that at impact!”
