Former Park Hill Golf Course to become Denver park

The city of Denver has acquired the former Park Hill Golf Course for use as a public park, city leaders announced Wednesday.

Mayor Mike Johnston said the 155-acre parcel is the city’s largest acquisition of a new park in more than 100 years.

  2. Thank god! This almost fell into the hands of developers a couple of years ago! It’s such a beautiful area.

  3. Sounds like gov overdeveloped a beautiful area then overpaid to somehow try to look good and bs about how great it is then more affordable bs while they tax as much as they can!

  4. So we gave land with a lot of value and potential tax revenue near the airport to some company in return for land we will need to spend millions of tax dollars on that will produce no future income and just expenses, vote this idiot out. Denver can’t afford his stupidity.

  5. And now golfers like me who are not rich or members of elite country clubs have to drive farther and farther out to play.
    But hey , at least all the young , white couples from out of state will have a nice place for their purebred dogs to take a dump.
