Tonight we break down Tiger’s return in the second iteration of the TGL which saw the Cat, Kevin Kisner and Max Homa get wrecked by Team Rose, Morikawa and Sahith.

Then TC and DJ are joined by PGA Tour resident foodie Keith Mitchell for an all-encompassing look at the best restaurants on tour, some of the less desirable stops on the calendar, and a special treat – Keith’s Hall of Fame Caesar Salad List.

  1. I just don't understand who TGL is for. If they don't get the serious golfers what is the staying power? The celebrities they interview also have no charisma and don't seem to care.

  2. love keith mitchell– smart, classy, fun and can golf his ball when he gets it going– great interview

  3. If TGL was a TV pilot (it kind of is)…it would be canceled. What a debacle…it's tiring to watch golf media try to defend this crap.

  4. i think the fact that the show is still fun without it being super competitive and a blowout is a good thing. i think a lot of people see someone 5 up going into sunday and book a tee time instead of anticipating watching the final round. and if it's good when the match is close it will provide a little of the best of both worlds.

  5. Okay, we’ve gotta up Keith’s game in Fort Worth. The food scene has improved dramatically in recent years and it’s all convenient (20 minutes or less) from Colonial. And Mi Casina is trash. That take made me very suspicious of some of these recs.

    Special:
    Ellerbe
    Dom Artemio
    Walloons
    Bricks and Horses
    Chumley House
    61 Osteria
    Clay Pigeon

    Sit down but casualish:
    Hudson House
    Drover hotel 97 west
    Paloma Suerte
    Lucille’s
    Tinies
    Blue sushi
    Quince
    Teddy Wong
    Nonna Tata
    Bocca Osteria Romano
    Press Cafe

    BBQ conveniently located:

Panther City – get there at open and there’s barely any line
Brix- weird vibe, I’d probably take out. But great food.
Ribbees – fast option birthed from Goldees
Goldee’s is all time but very inconvenient for a tour player. Maybe you can get someone to stand in line for you

  6. Podcasts seem to be getting worse , is there not enough actual golf to cover … in a GOLF podcast .. why are you talking about what food players eat … that’s like discussing what kind of hottub brands nhl players buy for their backyard – who cares ?
The majority of people that listen aren’t tour players who would benefit from spots to hit up or business people in their travels , it’s golf fans who want to hear about the golf being played 😂

  7. This was a fascinating podcast. Cashmere Keith brought the heat (pun intended). We absolutely need a follow up with Joel and Keith must be there again he was fantastic

  8. Great show! And y’all didn’t even hit NYC or Chicago. Could’ve done with more, would’ve liked to hear his steakhouse go-to’s

  9. The Keith Mitchell might be the greatest NLU podcast of all time. Imagine being as cool as Keith; he just sits in his house wearing a Sid Mashburn polo and cashmere sweater? SHEESH.

  10. keith mitchell is a 5 star interview. love the non-golf questions. more insight about on life on tour.

  11. they should have a 50ish collection of tgl holes, and have a draft / pick and ban holes at the start of the night between each team. this would allow teams to make strategy choices with their team selection and their use of the hammer on a hole that they’ve picked to play on the night. it would also make for better variety and help the hole designers understand what the players want in a hole. for a team with kis and tom kim, they could choose a hole that requires more accuracy and requires less distance etc

  12. I honestly didn't know what to expect with this one. I don't even care about the food much. I haven't been to 90% of the cities they are talking about. Plus I likely can't afford the meals he is talking about. I just really enjoyed listening to Keith talk. Such an intriguing guy! Definitely would love to see him on again!

  13. Great episode! Appreciate Keith's genuine enthusiasm for food and beverage on the road. Love that you had to cut HIM off…
