  1. The thing that drives me the most nuts about this whole format is the analyst that wanna sit there and talk for almost an hour. I would rather see true real golf happening than to listen to an analyst talk..

  2. I was pumped to watch it, but within about 20 minutes was searching for something else to watch. It became boring actually.

  3. They need to take greater advantage of the huge high resolution screen. It looks a little washed out. One of the key aspects at golf is the beautiful scenery. They need to do an even better job of accentuating that. To some extent they do that when they cut from the stadium view to the course view on TV.

Can they change the lighting to make the screen more of a visual draw?

I agree with your points regarding exhibition versus real competition. Maybe it would be good to have a warm-up 10 minutes or so where they do a fun skills challenge but then transition into the real competition.

  4. I love the bones of what they are doing but i think the biggest let done that no one is talking about is the software. Full swing is terrible sim software that looks funky. For the life of me I can't believe they aren't using GS pro

  5. Wow ESPN got more viewers in prime time 7 to 9 slot than the CW at 3a.m. I'm shocked. If the PGA hadn't blocked LIVs attempt to get TV time since it's inception this story would be much different. It's clear if LIV had access to the Golf Channel and ESPN the game would benefit. Personally I would play the TGL set up it looks fun but didn't really enjoy watching the pros play this way.

  6. Well said. After two weeks of watching…

Have them play for someone or something else. Charity?? There is no amount of money that will get them to take it as seriously as they need to make this watchable. $xxxxx for (charity) is much more meaningful than the same amount to the level of guys they need to have in these events.

Tech needs to improve. They aren’t saying a lot about it yet, but they doubt the accuracy. There wasn’t a lot of it in event 1, but quite a bit of body English that showed disagreement with what the screen was showing.

I’m 55 and hate any event with a DJ type announcer but that may be the 55 year old opinion that no one cares about.

Without a bunch of the LIV talent, this is going to struggle. A lot of the guys so far are not made for this type of thing from a personality standpoint.

I hate that it is during the PGA season and gives popular names something that conflicts with PGA events to some degree. PGA has enough of an issue getting the best field into the early season events already.

  7. I haven't watched it yet, but I hope they will learn to embrace the money on the line whereas the PGA Tour seems to minify this. It always baffles me when, toward the end of a big tournament, like the FEDEX playoffs why the broadcasters don't mention things like, "This one put is literally worth $600,000," etc.

  8. I like that its not so uptight…. it was pretty cool and I think they are just trying to figure it out and they know that

  9. I like it as an Indoor / Bar ambiance, let's not take it too seriously, it's just a fun party like a "Gaming – computer" competition.

  10. If you don't like it, change the channel simple….
No since in watching it just to gripe at it😂
Better yet, take your suggestions, & make your own show…… let's see how many pros you'll get on.
I'll just happily let the goat run his league how he pleases

  11. They should include LPGA and have mixed tournaments. I fully agree with the swing stats being available. Swing analysis, comparisons to other players etc. We watch for drama and to learn.

  12. What people need to understand is this is not something to replace the grind and drama of The Open. It is bite-size golf. It is a different product. Cricket is a good example, for 200 years it was just 5 day test matches. Then 1 day cricket came and people said it's a gimmick and isn't real cricket. Then recently 20/20 cricket came in. The bite-size version of the game. People complained it isn't cricket, but now the IPL and the 20/20 world cup is huge. It takes time to get used to but TGL could be huge.

  13. the three person alt shot has got to go. it's not putting the pressure on each shot.

Also we have got to see the stats at all time.

  14. I like the concept! Very cool technology and I think it does have potential. The 1st 2 matches were blow outs and not very competitive. I want to see a close competitive match and see how thar does.

I don't know about the hammer thing. I think they just need to make the scoring a little more game show like with doubling the points the last few holes.

I love golf but as I've gotten older 4-5 hour rounds are just 2 long. I would love 2 hour golf!

  15. Two weeks in row I stop watching after 8-10 holes
Match gets out of hand and it’s pointless to keep watching.

Maybe u get 5 points for winning the 3 man game…
Then 5 points to win next matches..
Then 5 points for last 5 holes..
    So someone wins 10-5
    Possibly 15-0…
Or if team wins first 10 holes and its 10-0
No way for other team to win
    They concede and go drink

  16. They have "city teams" but they play at the same sci fi stadium. If they played home/away in the actual cities it may add a little more to the crowd and environment.

  17. Tons of work needed on the graphics/production side. I see them scripting the long shots to keep the matches closer in the future. It’ll turn into an indoor short game clinic on turf. The monitor can literally put it anywhere.

  18. its too hectic and the visuals are not great – show the stats on the shots and put the players name clearly on the screen as well as the team names. I think its just not filmed and organized well. I really want this to work, its cool.

  19. They will work out the kinks…

You talk about expansion. All locations mentioned are in WARM locations where you could go outside and play golf any day of the year. How about expansion into northern cities where half the year, the weather is a factor to get out and play. I play on an indoor league all winter, because it’s SNOWY. Indoor golf was MADE for places where you can’t get outside and play. So put a couple of the venues up north. My 2 cents.

  20. One thing about watching it on TV… To me, the noise in the arena wasn’t loud enough. It felt like a couple hundred people not really paying attention, with a few fans louder than others. They need more crowd noise and cheering etc like a basketball or football game. More excitement. After all, that’s why you attend a live event – the atmosphere. Needs to be more of that feel on TV too. Remember what it was like to watch football on TV during covid with no crowd noise and a bunch of cardboard cutouts in the stands? Not the same feel.

  21. I agree that it has to mean something, but $$ should not be the trick. This should be something cool that they would love to win, but for other reasons than PGA tour reasons. Enough for these guys to brag about their win over the others? A punishment for the loosers – closer to reality shows? Win for a place next year? Create divisions where they compete for staying in the elite division? Plenty of options, but $ will not create the competition. They should get $ for participating, but the win should be for something else to keep the atmosphere or even better create an even better atmosphere, bantering, etc

  22. Stop with the talking head, taking up time explaining the rules. Viewers are smart. The rules aren’t complicated. Viewers will pick it up.

  23. Love this I see big time winter leagues…. having fun hope there are more teams to come just my opinions thanks 😊😊

  24. The presentation is def. cringe worthy … it will peak fast and dive even faster in the same fashion top-golf did.
