ABOUT DANNY
———————–
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!
I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.
On YouTube and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.
Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble
I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

Your Dad appeared to have grand time.
Danny when are you and your dad going to have part 2 of reaching 300 yards
Great Video. Congrats to Dad! I can sure use these elements in my 73 y.o. swing. Thanks
I've watched this about 4 times now, great video, one of your best so far and your Dad? a star in the making if not already 👍
Lovely video Danny so nice to see you and your dad practicing and getting such great results.
This was a very heartwarming video loved it!!!
WoW❤
IS GREAT😮😊
You just returned your Dad to golfing life 😊
190.1 yards lovely
Sitting watching DP tour in Korea – you video inspires me to head to the range on a wet rainy day. Great tips ❤️👍🇨🇦
Love your dad, I’m 76 and such a short hitter. So frustrating! I hit consistently straight but doesn’t go anywhere
Pops picked up 35 yards off the tee, and is hitting bombs down the middle of the fairway. I'd say that's pretty damn impressive right there. Wow.
Might be my favorite golf instruction video on YouTube! Great advice, and so excited to see an 80yr old man still wanting to get better at golf!!
As a 76 year old man I have listened to a lot of distance. I am looking forward to trying your advice out next time I play.
I follow your channel continuously and think it is by far the best of all the golf channels on the net. Besides you teach in a good way and it makes my golf better, i get to update my English //Dennis from Sweden
bring on spring!…will use this lesson for sure Danny
Danny your father is my favorite student of yours. Love it.
Can you use the same concepts you show in this video for your irons?
Your tips about hips and arm position are so clear and easy to follow…have been doing it unconsciously for years as I improve my ball striking but you gave theory and structure to the effort, thanks again.
I've been Maude-ifying my swing here for 2 years! lol
This incremental process of progress was very watchable, with good stuff I hope to work into my game.
Thanks.😊
Great to have such a brillant student. It's worth for lower the HCP at least 5 points.
Danny is a genius of teaching, and your dad is a genius student!!! Love this content series with your father.
Today I incorporated your suggestion as to shortening my stance, down a bit below shoulder width…it was raining, horrible day and I shot 90!. My longtime golf partner commented that he had not seen me hit driver and fairway shots so straight in a long time. Kudos to you!
What a wonderful way you ;have in teaching…it is so refreshing !
This was like watching a flower bloom in fast motion! Such progress
I’m super confused on alignment of club in relation to body now. I was taught to keep the club straight. Should it be leaned towards lead leg?
Brilliant video
15:00 Maybe you will laugh at me but the imagination of hitting at a rug and NOT follow through instantly fixed my early extension, my open clubface and heely mishits on the clubface with my driver. Unbelievable.
Good on you Dad.
Thanks Danny. Poppa Maude has my swing and results exactly so this was great visually to try some new stuff. Remind me to tune in when dad passes 250 because he is absolutely going to crush it!
I have to say when you were talking about beating the rug and then said you don't hit it like this "…proceeds to make exaggerated followthrough… I just about spit my coffee out." 🤣
Really enjoy your videos. I’m 82 and carry a 16.3 handicap. I can’t narrow swing faults to one specific area of my swing. Parents fault; Father Time and Mother Nature. Your instructions have provided me with something to work on during the week. I have a practice area set up in my basement I use during winter periods. Problem is I haven’t been receiving your weekly videos since October. I hope there has been some administrative glitch and not your ceasing posting. Can you get me back on your mailing list? Thanks and keep up the good work, especially your working with your dad.
As a 77-year old who’s been playing since I was 11, I’ve been frustrated at the continuous lose of distance in more recent years. A former club pro told me to “hit it like you mean it.” Your analogy of the rug on the clothes line, and some reminders on set up are really going to make a difference for me. Thank you.
First of all, hats off to your Dad, he’s doing great at his age.
Second of all, impact of your teaching is clear as day. He was so excited by the progressive results and so I’m.
Definitely, I’m your new student. Keep it up!
HE TALKS WAY TO MUCH WILL START TO BE OVERWHELMING
Hi I am same age as your dad same swing speed and similar distance what a great video I will definitely try out every thing you showed him more off these videos please
I am getting out of breath by the rate Danny talks in his videos only watching!
The odd is he gets never out of breath!
Wow, great video. Your dad gain 30 plus yards just in one lesson. Also you gave certain analogies that he can relate to, like hanging the rug over the wash line and beat it with a cricket stick or bat I believe. also slow it down where he can understand if I can gain an extra 30 to 50 yards off of my driver plus some I am golden. I probably would save about three strokes per round maybe four thanks for sharing a video with your dad. Thanks.
This video is gold
Using simple Newtonian maths the power loss for a 10° across the line swing is only 1.5%. So there's clearly more to this than just the line. Part of the response will be side spin causing a curve trajectory instead of a straight line (Newton had little to say about spinning golf balls). Another contribution to loss of distance through a 10° across the line swing is loss of loft on the club face, so the ball starts off lower. Nonetheless, straightening the path at impact will affect all three of these distance reducing parameters.
But, while the maths is really simple, moving the body to achieve this is really difficult. So while I can understand the maths and engineering, there's a clear need for golf advice like this. Thanks for this.
One of the best lessons on hitting driver on Youtube. Thank Danny.
Dad is going to leave Danny a tip after this lesson! 😅
Super vid of you with your dad. So helpful. Thanks Danny, especially as I'm 81 and struggling to hit over 200 yds.
Great tips from Xander, simple and looks achievable! Thanks.
Without doubt one of the best explained and most enjoyable videos I have ever watched. Again so simply explained. The joy on not only your Dads face but yours is heart warming.
I loved to see the reaction of your Dads golfing buddies faces when he blasts it over 200 yards 😂
I've watched countless golf instructional videos on improving my drive, but none come close to this tutorial. The clarity and simplicity of the explanation are truly exceptional. The fact that you included a student who is not only older but also your dad was brilliant—it made the teaching even more relatable and impactful. As a 65-year-old with injuries, your approach made a real difference, and I finally feel like I can take steps toward improvement without feeling overwhelmed. The way you break things down is sensational. I’ve saved this to my favorites and will definitely refer back to it. I can’t thank you enough for this outstanding lesson, and I look forward to providing feedback as I progress.
He wasn't going to get to 300… But that dude was hitting BOMBS at 200yrd as an 80 yr old. He's got the longest drive of any of his friends I'm sure.
If an 80-year-old golfer could hit the ball 300 yards, Gary Player would have already done it!
Top notch teaching – Danny
