Mark Potash of the Chicago Sun-Times joins Hoge and Jahns for an updated look at the Bears’ head coach candidates. Bears interim head coach Thomas Brown is set to begin another week of interviews. Meanwhile, Mike Vrabel holds his first press conference as the new head coach of the New England Patriots. How does Vrabel’s move impact Chicago’s search for a new head coach?

  1. Jim Caldwell was involved in two SB wins….but people are putting Carroll in front of him. Caldwell is younger too

  2. This podcast has become a disaster. It is based on all assumptions and is not even close to good reporting. You do not know the process the Bears are using in their coaching search. Maybe back off on the negativity until they actually do something that is apparently real instead of your guess. The Bears and Vrabel was never going to happen. He was going to New England from the start. Find another reason you can base your complaints about the Bears. You don't know anything. Give it up. Guesses are not reporting. I will try better to avoid this garbage.

  3. I like the idea of Thomas Brown in the building,he beat packers in their House that's something a bears coach hasn't done since 2015,it was Brett favre nite

  4. The Bears could have and should have gone after Vrabel before Mayo was fired.
I doubt Ben Johnson will want to come to Chicago.
If the Bears hire McCarthy I will lose my effing mind

  5. Bears had zero chance at Vrabel with the NE job available. You can't just make up an issue that isn't there. Why should the bears waste their time with an in person interview of a candidate that was never really available? So Hoge wanted the Bears to not do a thorough coaching search, but rush and throw the bank at Vrabel to keep him from NE? Hoge will then condemn the bears for not doing a serious coaching search. Chicago media holds some of the blame for the current state of the bears.

  6. It's so refreshing to hear potash not be sold on mR gEnErAtiOnAL
Daniels is everything the hype mirage pretended to be. And Poles never even spoke to him.

  7. I think Waldron needed a strong head coach. I still go with the theory flus hired him because he knew Waldron wasn’t going to threaten his job.

  8. are you guys pretending to be this dumb to attract more views? Yes Vrabel has been successful as a HC but if the top goal was to develop caleb, do you trust vrabel to do that? hearing that his choices for his OC are rees or mcdaniels? you think those guys are going to elevate caleb? you wanted the bears to interview him early? then what? most of the other candidates are in the playoffs and cannot be interviewed until later. If the bears did go and hire vrabel, you guys and the rest of media would be crucifying the bears for not interview others and just hiring the first guy. The patriots already knew vrabel as a player, prob some level as a coach and it made too much sense so they jumped on it.

  9. This entire episode was off base. Mark potash is high talking about caleb isnt a guy who can slingshot passed Jayden daniels. Jayden is good but caleb has something special that none of the other rookie qbs have

  10. Washington will probably beat Detroit just to rub it in our face more. Gotta think what’s the most embarrassing for us that’s what will happen.
