In todays video I review the PXG Secret Weapon, a new mini driver that could be the best yet and the best driver option of 2025 for mid to high handicap golfers. This mini driver is also a great fairway wood.

  1. I definitely wouldn't consider it to replace my driver as I really love my driver but I think as a second club in the bag on tight powers I don't carry a three wood. I go driver then 17 hybrid. hmmmmm

  2. Hey PXG.
Make a 460 cc driver with a 42 inch shaft. Adjustable from 14-10 degrees.
Take the 18 grams needed to bring the swingweight up and make your 10k driver into a 12k driver

  3. You’re definitely on to something here. The four adjustable weights means a custom fitter can adjust this club to precisely match your swing and really make it work for you both on and off the tee. Could replace driver and 3W, making the price less of an issue. I never played PXG, but kudos to them on this one.

  4. This does look really interesting. I currently play a strong 3 as a driver replacement and I know I could use the adjustability in this head as well as the forgiveness of the extra CCs. The big downside is that it's even more expensive than the TM or Callaway options!

  5. Thanks for the video review Andy and the in-depth look. I enjoy my 0311 Gen5 and its adjustability. This looks even better. I’d suggest one more option and that would be a quicker way to swap weights, particularly from front to back. I’d like the CG forward off the tee and on the back end off the deck. Maybe PXG could develop something like a tongue depressor with a 5g weight on one end and a 15g weight on the other. After you rip your drive down the fairway with the 15g forward, you rotate or flip the weight stick so the 5g is forward and the 15g is back to help launch off the deck on your second shot. That would be sweet!

  6. I replaced my G425 driver with the Ai Smoke mini driver. I would advise anyone who has more off days with their driver than on days to remove the driver and replace with a mini-driver. Between that and the LAB putter, it's been the best golf purchases I've probably ever made.

  7. In the future I would like to see this club test on course against the Mavrik 3+ and the Ping Stretch to see how far the tech has come.😊

  8. Have a look at the Taylormade SLDR (2014) mini-driver. Doesn't have the adjustability, but you can pick them up for <£100. I think they should be called 2-woods

  9. I am intrigued with this and will, in the near term, go to my PXG store to test it out. My thought is to replace the Driver and 3-Wood with the Secret Weapon and add another Hybrid.

I am curious if you toyed with moving the weights around and the effect they have?

  10. Enjoyed the review, and looks like a great club. My game just doesn't deserve that much $$ for a non-driver/putter club . . . but maybe I'll pick one up one day on the used market. No biggie, but I clicked on your merch link and the site didn't work for me. Looking forward to improved weather to see more travel videos. Keep on keepin' on!

  11. Looks good and different to other current mini drivers. Updated tech aside it has some similarities in terms of head size to the 2014 Ping Rapture 13 degree 3 wood which had a RRP of £395 in 2014. It would make a good back to back test to see what 10 years of development has achieved. Shame Ping didn’t keep developing the Rapture.

  12. Andy, £500-£700 on a driver or a putter is outrageous (especially considering what they cost a few years ago). These may well be great clubs but they are well beyond the means of many 'average' golfers. It would be great to see you, or any of the other leading content creators start to call out the big manufacturers and lobby on our behalf for a better deal.

  13. this club is £429.00 retail, golf is getting more innovated with new idea's and yet at the same time more expensive, excuse the punt but can the average golfer keep up with these ever changing game changers? it seems as soon as one new product is produced it's quickly succeeded by a newer one which is the new game improver and must have club, mini drivers have been introduced in the past but do the pros have these in their bags, I for one refuse to be drawn into this or to believe the hype for people like yourself its a no brainer where as you received clubs from PXG but without your sponsorship could you really afford to change clubs every time a new set come out.
