A straight or closed club can never slice a golf ball. It is time to understand that most golfers don’t need to change how they release and hit the ball but they need to change whn they do it.

Let me help you get an effortless golfswing with speed and accuracy. I call it the circle of speed. A good release will help you to a better impact and longer drives and irons without slice and hook. How to swing a golf club need to be adjusted to your skill level and experience.
Long and straight is the goal for everyone but it takes time. Try to focus on one thing not everything when you practise. Impact, face control and swingpath will always be the most important part to drill. We focus too much on rotation but no good golf shot will be executed just by rotating.
I’m naturally right handed but all my tips works for both left handed and right handed golfers playing either way.
We also need to understand that many myths in golf are misleading. Everything that you find on the internet isn’t true. Ben Hogan, Sam Snead are two of the legends that are often misunderstood. To understand golf we need to take it step by step and learn every part of the swing before we move on to the next. It’s like a big jigsaw puzzle that we all can figure out.
Some pro’s that hit draw: Rory McIroy, Xander Schauffele, Patrick Reed, Sepp Straka and many, many more.
We shall not keep our head still, only start with the hips, look only at the ball or keep the left or right arm straight. Understand what do do with the club and let your body find the best way possible.
If you use callaway, ping, titleist or taylor made clubs doesn’t matter you can learn to hit good golf shots. Your loft or your shaft on the club will not change but you can always get better.
Find what inspires you. Golf basics are the same for everyone. The pga tour, longdrivers or other good golfers can all help you find better golf shots. Watch what they do instead of listed to what they say. Listen mostly to your body and figure out what you need to do to produce the same results as the pros on TV. Be careful when you watch a golf swing in slow motion. The result isn’t always what the golfer is trying to do. Feel and real are seldom the same.
Mike Malaska, Mike Austin, Mike Dunaway, Pete Cowen and Steve Pratt are some of my favorite golf instructors online. Find the tips that make your golf better. Decide what you want to hit. I teach a draw but many like a fade and nobody likes a hook or slice.
Your hips or your lag is not the key to golf. Your hands will decide the shot and you can do like Tiger Woods and trust your hands. Teach your hands to hit different shots. Hit big hooks and slices to understand what happens. Only straight is not gonna teach you anything.
Bryson Dechambeu and Kyle Birkshire can inspire you to hit it longer. Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson can give you inspiration and motivation to test new things and new golf shots. Linn Grant, Viktor Hovland and Ludvig Aberg can show you the future of golf.
The Masters, Players Championship, The Players, The Open and US Open can make you love golf even more. See the best in the world solve all the problems we all need to master any golf course. Golf is a craft and you need fantasy, feel and skills to master it.

Okay, i am with you on this. After seeing some different clips on you tube my brain wants to change all the time on the course. And i wanted to get rid of my drivers after today. But then i remembered your how many teachers video. So from now on its only you. Driver gets back in the bag and this year it will be the year to smack the driver far with a draw and straight. Thank you for your wonderful teachings Marcus. 🙏👊
The demonstration of hitting the screen makes sense for me. I will visualize this on the practice range.
Thanks , great video. I had misunderstood the ' imagine the ball is further back' drill..I see now from your explanation wasn't releasing the driver early enough. I'm looking forward to trying it out. Thanks!
Your correct Big’n, how can anyone tell anybody where to turn the big dog lose or the correct timing spot
We are all different in statue and weight and mobility along with age plus experience
But… the circle of speed …for example let’s take me … at the bottom of my COS with driver head heading to the ball for smash time…is MY place or timing to let MY big dog hunt or release
The face squares up and my %’s of down the middle drives goes wayyyyyy up
Finding the bottom of my COS was nothing more than a WOW factor because it simply made my driver turn out to be my favorite club in my bag
It took a little effort and time but not as mush as you may think and it was well worth it
Now if my %’s goes down it’s no more of a guessing game trying to figure it out
Learn it , see it, feel it and the COS is the automatic timing to stop slices for all big dog lovers
👍🐕⛳️🐕👍
As I commented on your last video, today I finally hit ten hooks or draws in a row with my driver. That is all because of your early release and dropping the club and then rotate swing thoughts. I also hit my driver 230 yards today which was a first for me.
How do I translate this same thing into hitting my fairway woods? I don’t quite know how to translate these thoughts into hitting fairway woods where I still want to hit down on the ball.
So efficient when done well 👍
Thank you my friend.

It is possible to have your mailing address as I would like to send you a little 🎁 gift/ souvenir from Canada! One way to thank you for all these great tips that I learned watching your videos.
This past friday at the sim I started addressing the ball a club head behind the ball. I also put focus there and not the ball.
I have no clue if the feeling is of releasing the club earlier, but it is different than addressing directly behind the ball.
Your channel should be so much bigger. You are clear with message like no one I have ever heard or seen. Keep going.
Another great video Marcus! I remember Jack Nicklaus saying that we should use the “same swing” for every club, and on the other hand he also said “there was no such thing as releasing the driver too early”! And he was one of those “greats” you mentioned, so with that kind of confusion, no wonder amateurs keep slicing. Question: between the pitching wedge and the driver, can we say that the release begins earlier in a linear function as we move from one club to the next one through the bag? And what difference does teeing the ball up make compared to playing it down? Thank you!
Great video, have seen loads of YouTube videos, but not one of them looked at the slice this way. Cant wait to get to the range tomorrow.
Thanks Marcus! I'm a believer. I've taken lots of lessons, read golf books and watched videos and you're the only one I've seen give this advice on the driver. I just got my old driver regripped. THANK YOU SO MUCH. God Bless you!
Love your content, thanks Marcus!
I'm getting nice draw shots using your excellent tips and explanations Marcus, but I'm struggling how to tee the ball using my foot and the clubhead. 🙂
Marcus when i used to play regularly i had thst exact slice you are showing. After a few years away from the game ive come back to find myself hitting those drastic low hooks you showed. The only cure i found for that hook was moving the ball back in my stance. It seemed to have worked but im not sure how correct that is. I had same issues with my irons. Hitting low hooks. Esp off tee. Moving ball back in stance was only solution.
Thank-you Marcus, I look forward to working on this this week. I've been struggling with consistent contact and length with my driver all year.
I'm sure this is what I need.
Great content.
Thanks, again Marcus, That's so simple yet it ends up being profound. I developed looking at the front of the ball not the back of it.
I'm one whose been taught in the past to aim passed the ball, like up to 1-2 feet passed.
they say, "The ball should just be in the way !
and yet we never address the ball with our club face a foot or 2 pass the ball, it is as you said, I need my max power point at the ball and timing is the key.
Your simply profound tip is, (and this could have been your title, ) "KILL the slice, "DON"T accelerate through the ball, accelerate to the ball.
thanks for all your insight.
cheers
