As usual cobra Titelist and ping will be the best but TaylorMade and callaway advertising will bring everyone to their models
TXG (CC in Canada) uses closure rate in their (Foresight based) fitting. At my 2023 iron fitting the fitter noticed my closure rate was pretty high and suggested weakening my grip that had gotten pretty strong without me noticing. I did and once the rate had gotten more reasonable we fitted the shaft. Of course that ended up with an Accra shaft (ref. Tony's comment) 🙂

I think you're off on the grinds available from Cleveland. There are custom grinds that you can get on the tour rack. You can also put some of the custom grinds together and create a different grind. You can get three different leading edge grinds. On the Full-Face wedge they also added a new leading edge bounce chamfer. There is more than Full-Mid-Low bounce available. I think there are enough options for 95% of the players.
If you think that any more than 10-15% of golfers geek out about Vokey you are crazy. I do not buy Vokeys BEC AUSE I do not have 2 months to research the 85 different combinations. Yes guys like you like it because you are in the industry. But as a 7 HDCP I do not need 2 different lob wedges for different seasons and 8 different wedges to choose from course to course. And i am not spending 1600 on a group of wedges every year. Give me a 54 mid and a 60 High and I am good.

Closure rate seems to explain why a lot of golfers with modest or slightly above average swing speed can fit well into a Ventus Black X. My swing tops out at 105 and I've tried lighter and much softer shafts. A whole bunch of shafts. The Ventus Black X is straightest and longest.
Crazy that Callaway's 2024 line beat everything but Left Dash. I have 6 or 8 dozen, might need to stock up.

Bravo to Mizuno. There’s absolutely no need for any new club releases sooner than four or five years apart.
Mizuno wedges are superior to Vokeys in every way. This is the greatest secret in golf.
Last week I went to a custom fitting (Driver) at a high-end custom fitter here in Toronto. $180CDN, no condition to buy. I play Mizuno ST190 and after about 90 minutes with multiple shafts (& tweaks to lengths and tips), different OEMs the fitter said, you’re hitting your current driver better or at the same as the 2024 models tested. No need to change.
RPM vs RPS. My golfball rarely is in the air for a minute.
