None of this matters if Khan doesn’t clean house. Knowing him, he will keep Doug and Trent for one more year and hope that things change.
Also, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Lions blocked the Bears from interviewing Johnson. I don’t think they would want him going to a division rival.
Ben Johnson is a flake. Saw that last year during the interview process. He may be a good coordinator but he has not given any indication he is head coach material.
It’s easy to be a good coordinator when your team is loaded with talent.
Also you don’t let a flake dictate the direction of your franchise. This guy didn’t like that Josh Harris and Adam Peters (Washington owner and gm) had a thorough interview process. He could not hack it so he missed out on working with a great owner and arguably the gm of the year because he could not deal with the interview process.
This guy wants the easy rubber stamp job. There are so many red flags on Ben Johnson.
The Bears will dodge a bullet if they “miss out” on Johnson.
But uh, please stay away from Kliff. We finally got a good thing setup here in DC. So pretty please go look elsewhere and leave Kliff alone.

I am not sure if you 3 dudes know this, but a lot of fans don't give 🐀 🐁 AZZ about Ben Johnson.
He will not be a better coach than Vrabel, McCarthy, or Kippin as far as running an entire team. These coaches aforementioned have won and have experience in this league.
I am actually not feeling this dude (Ben Johnson), Vrabel, Carrol, and Flores would be my favorite.

Ban Johnson has to be kicking himself for not taking the Commanders job last offseason. Now he has to pick between 2 of the worst organizations with bad ownership and inferior QBs to coach.
Need one of the big two or Ron Rivera. Somebody who can just shut up and go to work and show up game one with a team that can beat 2025 NFL Royalty at home or on the road consistently. A guy who will tie Calebs feet to his receivers routes and knows how to dump off to Kmet or RBs and put a ‘solid’ punishing run attack in every week. I would give Bagent a chance to beat Caleb in camp (not because i want him to, because i don’t) and let the winning QB ‘real dollar signs on the score board’ measured at 28 points or more per game, play. Get rid of the soft pussy zone on defense and get a damn pass rush and players who drop guys where they hit them.
