  1. everything this man touches he fails at. i see the next 4 years of trump failure because i don't see thing getting any better i see things going downhill.

  2. Donald Trump knows so little about NASCAR that he thinks the proper way to start a NASCAR race is by saying, "Gentleman, start your engines". NASCAR competitors are "drivers" not "gentlemen" !

  3. Why does it have to be a "failed attempt"? Interesting that He was there when Dale Earnhardt crashed. I had never heard that.

  4. They had nascar library books in my middle school library and I remember one book mentioned trump motor speedway. There was a picture of Donald standing in a suit with a picture of the proposed speedway to the left of him on an easel, like he was giving a some overview for media coverage on the project.

I can't remember the title of the book, but it had some other interesting things in it. It also mentioned the short lived nascar thunder retail stores.

  5. "A DILL"

I grew up in CT and lived there for the first 23 years of my life. I do remember 2 proposed NASCAR tracks proposed in CT. I did not realize 1 of them was backed by Trump. I do recall a speedway that NASCAR wanted to built right outside NYC, so this makes sense.

  6. Land on long island is still open and not developed, riverhead raceway is bullshit answer. The owner of Riverhead raceway was in favor of the track. I still know few of people on board to get track done on long Island and town of riverhead went with indoor ski resort that never got stated! Over the track, the indoor ski slope paid less than what Trump offered for the land!! yes it was multi use racetrack on long island, The Suffolk country track only used 400 of 1000 acre that Trump would buy , leaving the track 50 plus acres in every direction to the nearest house. The town of riverhead stopped racetrack from being built!!! The runways that are still there are being used for drag racing today! Plans were drawn up and track was to be 7/8-mile oval style like Richmond raceway, with hotels , shopping center, concert hall and some industrial building around track to also block noise. two main entrances to track would be off Long Island Expressway and second off of route 25

  7. As a queer NASCAR fan, I'm glad this track never came into fruition. We don't need people openly trying to strip queer people's rights having representation in this sport

  8. I left nascar when I found out Trump was in involved. He ruins everything he touches and gets his hands on..

  9. The fans were not put in a “tough spot”, but nascar was. The whole “let’s go Brandon” incident made nascar think about how they themselves want to be perceived. Politics divide us and it does not look good to potential advertisers. It’s as simple as that. So nascar said “no more” on using cars for campaign ads.

  10. The only problem with Nascar was they decided to ban overhead cam engines like the Ford 427 SOHC Cammer V8.

  11. Just in the last couple of years Chicagoland Speedway lost their race dates, Fontana is just the front stretch, pit area, and main grandstand, and Kentucky Speedway is closed and Disney World Speedway didn't last. I think Texas Motor Speedway is having issues as well.

This isn't Trump promised and didn't deliver, look at all the tracks that have been proposed since the mid 90's, how many tracks have been proposed for the NYC area for NASCAR/F1/Indycar? I think at least two or three and with declining attendance, there may be more track closures.

  12. Ain't nothing like a top fuel party. Smelling nitro. Ten thousand horses. get in, Hold on, Wait till I get this sucker rolling🎉 Here in detroit we need a Drag strip bad. Tired of seeing people with their hot rods Shutting down the freeways

  13. Trump failed at almost all developments he's undertaken. I just hope term 2 is better than term 1. that was misery
