Old Course at St. Andrews On The Trackman 4 Simulator- Virtual Match (Part 1)
Watch the conclusion of the match here:
I had a particularly great time preparing this video. Just prior to the stay at home order for COVID-19, I had the pleasure of playing in Los Angeles with some golf professionals from Scotland who were in town for Scottish Tourism Week. I am still dreaming of the day I will have the privilege to guide a group of golfers to St. Andrews and play where my ancestors once played!
Watch as I play a virtual golf match; 18 holes at the Home of Golf with Tim Galvan, the Player Development Specialist at the Calabasas Golf Academy.
About the course:
“The Old Course at St Andrews is considered by many to be the “home of golf” because the sport was first played on the Links at St Andrews in the early 15th century. Golf was becoming increasingly popular in Scotland until James II of Scotland banned the game in 1457 because he felt that young men were playing too much golf instead of practising their archery. The ban was upheld by James III, and remained in force until 1502, when James IV became a golfer himself and removed the ban.” en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Course_at_St_Andrews. Accessed May 27, 2020.
This Virtual Golf Match on the Trackman Launch Monitor is an example of the golf up to eight people can play together. There are various formats and settings that can be adjusted to make it fun for any ability level. It’s an absolute blast!
