Hey Tom, me again. I’m really starting to get my weight forward and keeping my body still. But for the life of me with my long irons/driver I am unable to square my club face unless I bow my lead wrist in the back swing. Is there something I’m missing or a video I should be watching that can help? I don’t want to feel like I have to manipulate my wrists intentionally in the back swing or down swing unless it’s a must.
Well this all sound interesting, but for me, I just need to be younger again. I had all my good golf back in the 1970's and 1980's. I used to shoot in the mid to high 70's. Now no matter what kind of swing I do, it comes out the same. Ball goes straight, just not very far anymore. Mainly shooting for bogeys and maybe a par here and there. I just do golf now for walking exercise and try to rely on my short game.

This is exactly what I needed, Tom! Starting your swing lessons had me feeling rigid/stiff as you describe. You saying this gives me peace of mind that I'm on my way to a new, consistent swing. Also, seeing the elbow tucked in the level angle vs. tilted to the ball angle was a key concept to my further understanding of this swing. Looking forward to playing better golf!
The best lesson on YT. I shot an 84 yesterday just following the "elbows together, turn the shoulders" methodology that Tom teaches here. It could easily have been sub 80 with less 3 putts. This lesson and swing thought is so good, it seems pointless experimenting with anything else, the results don't lie.

So, from my understanding, Tom doesn’t shallow the club, because he doesn’t need to? His backswing is so low and “in”, that the path on the forward swing will naturally be shallow?

Tom I have the tendency to be too handsy. Year of bad habits with turning hands over. I find this to be the most difficult thing for me to control. I watch your videos a lot and have not seen one specific to correcting our hands. It could be that I just haven’t seen it yet. You have any video on what to do to correct this problem?

I can't thank you enough. Doing this drill gives me better results than warming up at the range. You make golf simple and easy. Your delivery is one of a kind.
The brain matches a firing pattern to your intention – so thinking „turn shoulders“ your brain fires the sequence to make that happen. moving pressure into left foot to push hip out of the way is all automatic no intention required! never think hips in golf it’s a waste of time.
Eliminating clubface compensation through setup for impact? and eliminating forearm rotation through shaft at right angle to spine=axis of rotation? Contact quality through left leg centered rotation?

But i need some guidance on the exit pathway of the hands and clubs. Do u keep the hands low after hitting the ball?

I've watched your videos & have had a startling result. Your second drill on this vid changed everything for me. I did this drill & realized that my upper body rotation was already turning without any effort. I watched you all you did was bend your left knee to get this result. It cut down on my head & body sway, thus a more stable swing. Still working on the changes it makes in your swing, improvement is coming. Thanks for renforcing simple proven methods can & do work.
