The emphasis on separation can lead to tension, loss of rhythm, timing issues, and injury. This ‘holding back the shoulders’, or keeping your back facing the target for as long as you can at the start of your downswing requires a good amount of athleticism, and the majority of us, including myself lack the necessary flexibility.
In this video I explain why I want you to shift your focus from ‘separation’ to a controlled, coordinated rotation of your body and how you can achieve it.

  1. Another good video Owen, I know keeping my body quiet and not leaning forward before I make contact with the ball is a problem for me sometimes. Thanks for posting…Jim

  2. For me after watching 1000s of youtube instructional videos… what there are missing is two things.

What is golf swing? Its not like moe normal bryson swing. When u have arm power and shoulder power its ok to swing simple way.

    I consider is this way.

You hold cup full of water and try to throw the water at target. if i have 100 golf students they is first drill or game i let them play. I keep a post 5 feet away and throw the water on it using golf swing without spilling water.

Other one is super secret. Strengthen left arm wrist
