  1. The triangle refers to the connection and alignment of your arms, shoulders, hands, and club throughout the swing. It forms the fundamental basis for a solid golf swing and is created by the imaginary line connecting your hands, elbows, and shoulders when holding the club.

    By maintaining this triangle, you benefit not only from a controlled backswing, but also achieve the right tempo, rhythm, power, speed, and stable impact during the downswing. Keeping the triangle intact supports your initial swing sequence and prevents your elbows and upper body from slipping out of sync before impact.

    Additionally, after impact, there’s a “third triangle” (as shown in the video) that is crucial for identifying whether you’ve come from the outside. If your left arm is bent at this stage, it often indicates you’ve relied too heavily on arm strength instead of a fluid body rotation. This serves as a useful indicator: if no clear triangle is visible, it’s likely the swing path or energy transfer was off.
