Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This YouTube channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!

I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.

I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!

On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

If you enjoy the channel make sure you hit subscribe and also tap the notification bell so that you are always notified when I release a new video.

  1. Consumers are finally starting to get sick and tired of all the BS “this club is so much better than the one we only just released a year ago” nonsense.

  2. Still not sure youre the right person to test these irons, 100 mph swing speed and Pro V1's are not the target user, get someone with an 80 – 85mph swing speed and supersoft, Ad333 or speedsoft balls then look at distances and spin rates

  3. I’m sorry but £1.100 pound. Go back 10 years and tell how many more yards he gained with these. There isn’t any new technology to make these any better. Just like the drivers. No extra distance from a year old driver.

  4. Review the Cleveland Zip-core xl irons. Probably half the price and perform as well as these. Most golfers don't have these top end brands in the bag.

  5. "anything under 30 is strong but 29 isn't insane" yes the fuck it is, a 7 iron is 34 idgaf what anyone says

  6. Paradym and now Elyte.. what is with these spellings, is it meant to be manufactured edgy cool or something? Shyte more like.

  7. I love the people who complain OEM’s are making a new iron every year. Golf is the most individual game of all time.

There’s different sounds, lofts, weights, feels, looks, and new golfers every year.

  8. I like the lack of any colored paint fill or loud graphics, I hope Callaway sticks with this idea in their next gi irons! I'd like to see Rick play an actual round of golf these.

  9. Worrying about sound and feel for a game improvement iron is fucking bonkers. These guys cannot hit two shots with the same impact position out of 50. But we're gonna worry about sound and feel lol?!

  10. Never buy new irons again with places like golfclubsforcash around. I got fitted for long irons years ago and still hasn’t changed so will always find year old irons in your specs for half the price of these

  11. Sure, you were not describing the Paradym irons from a couple of years back, only difference I can see is a blue insert changed for a silver one. Why not skip the shots and show last year's data. I'm sure you must be mad just to chase 3 or 4 yards.
Same ** evey year from all the companies such that it becomes boring after a while.

  12. All these club reviews are a joke now. There’s no real consumer information given out. When was the last time a negative word was uttered about a new release? Never, because they get the clubs sent to them for free and have a compromised opinion straight away. Even if the club is good they never state if it’s no improvement on the last model. Nonsense.

  13. Am i the only one who doesn't care what the back of a club looks like? You don't see it at address, doesn't matter what graphics or logos it has.

  14. Has some Mizuno JPX Hot Metal looking vibes! Sharp but too much $. A lot of other options in past 5 years that are 99.9% as hood for less money and gives you more money to actually play the game and put other correct clubs in your bag. Golf is getting to just be a big money grab and hype. It’s sad.

  15. Equipment is very over-rated mate! Remember the BIG 4….Arnie, Jack, Gary and Lee, they all had no swing coaches, no lessons, played with rubbish equipment whereby the iron heads looked like bread knives, shafts were stiffer than a Barge-Pole, rubbish golf balls that travelled 50 yds shorter, small persimmon driver heads, rubbish greens and fairways, terrible bunkers and played off disgusting lies, no launch monitors like Trackman, yet they all shot mid 60's every week! It's called "TALENT" These LEGENDS were AMAZING!

  16. Once again, why does the distance of the iron matter?? You're pushing a terrible narrative around golf. Hitting a 7i 200 yards vs 167 yards makes 0 difference to the golfer if they can't hit the green from 167 anyways

  17. I'll stick to my 2009 x forged thanks !! 35° 7 iron 47° pw , i mean who needs a 7 iron that goes 200 yards 😂.

  18. DTC offerings are way too good for these OEM companies to be charging this much for a glorified taylormade rocketbladez. Awful descent angles and spin numbers. If you really care about playing golf, pay half as much for forged but still forgiving cavity backs from a DTC company like takomo, new level, maltby, or toura, and spend the rest of the money on lessons and range balls. your future self will thank you

  19. I feel like Rick got the price wrong at 1:11. I’m pretty sure these are $899 usd vs the apex is $1399 which is roughly £1169

  20. Are these forged in Japan for £170 each? Or, are they just the usual cast power bat shite that accompanies a new driver launch ever six months?

  21. People really need to shutup about lofts being stronger. Theyre stronger because shit golfers don't compress the ball because they deliver way too much loft at impact. The lofts being at 29 allow a crap golfer who usually delivers 29 degrees at impact while using a traditionally lofted 7 iron of 34, to deliver a correct dynamic loft with a 7 iron of 22-24 degree's and get the appropriate distance relative to their clubhead speed. And theyre doing this while also allowing the golfer to launch the ball higher into the air and increase landing angle for nore stopping power, regardless of the amount of spin. If you want more spin just use a way spinnier golf ball and help your short game. Stop mentioning the strongers lofts like the manufacturer's are trying to just cheat and sell more clubs, they're companies, they're trying to help your game so you will buy their products in future, and no-one is forcing you to buy a strong lofted iron anyway.

  22. If I could hit them similarly to yourself Rick I might consider buying the elyte irons. How about a lesson or two? 😆👏👏

  23. same old stuff rebranded with the latest buzzwords. an "ai iron" is marketing wank at an elyte level.

  24. Your equipment reviews are woeful. The stronger lofted iron had better stopping power than the weaker lofted iron yet you continue to bang on about LOFT LOFT LOFT.
