WHAT IS RCT?
Titleist RCT (Radar Capture Technology) golf balls are equipped with embedded radar reflective technology, developed over the last three years by Titleist Golf Ball R&D engineers. “RCT golf balls are designed with the same materials, construction, and high-quality performance as their non-RCT counterparts, with the added benefit of improved radar signal capture for indoor use,” explains Jeremy Stone, Vice President of Titleist Golf Ball Marketing.
HOW DOES RCT WORK?
The internal radar reflective marker in Titleist RCT golf balls ensures optimized signal capture, delivering accurate spin measurements instead of estimates typically used in indoor settings. Unlike traditional methods, the embedded radar reflective technology does not require the application of reflective spin markers or specific ball orientation to capture precise data in an indoor simulator environment. By accurately measuring launch, speed, and spin at impact, RCT enhances the quality of data provided by launch monitors, including critical metrics like distance (carry, roll, total) and trajectory (peak height, descent angle). This precise performance data enables improved fitting opportunities for both clubs and golf balls.
