Struggling with your golf swing? Most amateurs make the common mistake of swinging their hands directly at the ball, leading to poor contact and inconsistent shots. In this video, we reveal the secret to better ball striking: swing your hands in and the clubhead out.
This concept, inspired by techniques in sports like baseball, tennis, and hockey, helps you use momentum to build speed and efficiency. No more rerouting the club or losing power—this tip simplifies your swing for improved accuracy and consistency.

Happy New Year Matt, from sunny Scottsdale, Arizona. Brilliant concept: hands in, clubhead out. I'm one to swing the club and allow the body to respond so I never "try to rotate" anything. However when practicing this concept I find that I must feel everything kind of turn through in order for the path of the club to be correct and clubface to find the ball squarely. Afterall, if you just "tip the club" without the body you'll stick it in the ground. Is this a typical finding, even for those of us who allow the body to respond to the swinging motion rather than the reverse? Thanks!
Hi Matt, I tried this and what I found was my lead had cupped when I brought the hands inside side – almost like a flip. The club head was facing very left when it got to the ball. Is this the body stalling because I am not trying to turn hard with body.
Fabulous videos. Extremely helpful comments.
Great video and info! I’m still better looking than you are!
Is that the same with the driver, hands in club head out. Can that be a swing thought.
