  1. Is getting a strong Center the most important at this point? Or more perimeter shooting?

  2. Exactly right about establishing the details ON A DAILY BASIS, as the difference of if they truly want to scale or not. Doesn’t matter who they get in there, if as a group they don’t value that over everything, it doesn’t matter.

  3. As a Lakers fan, I really like this move. Now with Christie and DFS, we have two 3 and d wings and Shake Milton is a nice player as well. Plus when Vando gets back, he and DFS gives JJ line up flexibility.

  4. Mavericks fan. Lakers (esp the coaching staff) are going to absolutely love Dorian Finney-Smith (DoDo). In addition to his elite defensive skills, he's an exceptional fit with star playmakers (Luka, Lebron).

  5. Thank you Rob. The weak link is gone.
Didn't move his feet, bad shot selection
And his passes were suspect for a starting point guard. See ya D-LO 😅

  6. This trade… Will it equate to more wins? I dont think so. A couple of years ago Mark Jackson was doing a broad cast of the Lakers on ABC. He used a sentence to describe the Lakers then and it still applies now. He said the Lakers practice "bad defensive habits" on the basketball court. Until those habits are corrected they will always battle to stay out of the play in, or will be knocked out in the first round playing teams with "good offensive habits"

  7. The biggest detail they need to fix is Anthony Davis getting back on transition defense. Joker killed him in the playoffs in transition. AD has to stop being lazy and stop falling down to draw fouls. The others teams big beats him down court consistently

  8. Putting responsibility on Lebron at age 40 like you said at the end is ridiculous 🤷🏻‍♀️Which player is in his prime again? Which player do you guys constantly praise as the best player on the team? It’s ADs job to lead this team in his prime. Lebron already led them to a title when he was 35. It’s ADs job at 30 to lead this team. Period

  9. Well you got your wish. D Lo is now gone and you got EXACTLY who you wanted in return. I don't wanna hear no more excuses now seeing how D Lo was this MASSIVE problem. Sidenote: when DFS doesn't pan out like people think it will and underperforms, PLEASE don't call him a bum

  10. Mavs fan here and I love DFS on any team so laker fans don’t destroy him when he goes 0-7 in a game cuz it will happen a lot.

  11. Reaves isn't a starting caliber point guard if he is he's bottom 7ish
He's only better than Conley, Anthony Black, Keonte George, Giddey, Poole, maaaaaybe Herro

  12. Ngl Rui, Dlo, AR and Wood all seem like the same type of player: inconsistent, offensively limited, defensively deficient, average athletes, that all need to start in order to be confident/effective

  13. This doesn't really make Lakers any better, but it does make the $$ more flexible. The problem is LeBron is locking up so much of the cap and just can't play D a whole game on top of the other issues. DFS is playing what? Coming off the bench? Vanderbilt hasn't been healthy so this at least gives something off the bench. They just have too much money locked up in Vanderbilt and Vincent who don't play.

  14. Hey Jason how can you say Gabe or Cam will keep their minutes? They have both been objectively bad this season. Surely the Brooklyn guys are better!

  15. Exchanging seats on sinking ships. We need to stop thinking the Lakers are more than a play-in team that goes out quick. No fanbase in Bk along with the lowest tv network ratings in the NBA. Fans would rather watch the Knicks lose than Nets win. They should trade F Cam Johnson. He can help a contender. Right now Nets are basically watch G Cam Thomas shoot…

  16. Dlo on the court the Lakers are plus +0.5 points per 100 possessions, when he's off the floor there a negative -7 points pre 100 possessions. They just traded their best playmaker and only starter that's a plus player for a backup😅

  17. This is a great case of delusional thought of a group of people that don't want to see reality he just want to believe everything will be all right. This move just made the Lakers worse they are now a negative per 100 possession team and all their fans are cheering it😅

  18. This guy named every single player on the roster, except for the pure shooter two guard rookie Dalton Knecht!!! of course he’s not gonna be your go to scorer in the playoffs, but how are you gonna say this team needs to go out and look for another two guard at this point?

  19. Rui getting paid 17mill to back up Bron and play like 5-10mins is just dumb. The only logical choice is to trade him for an upgrade elsewhere. He's not as bad as people make out on defense, currently has the best defensive rating on the team and by quite a bit too. Probably why he's been getting the most minutes in this recent stretch of good defense.
I'm sure a lot of teams value a 3 level scoring PF that shoots well above 40% from 3 and can be a good defender as long as you aren't asking him to chase around screens

  20. I just don’t see this hype or amazing defense that people see in Vanderbilt. Jamal Murray made the lakers literally bench him. Luka ate his lunch. Shai cooked him. Booker cooked him. The guys you NEED him to lock down in the playoffs all have their way with him.
