Notre Dame All-American Safety Xavier Watts joins the Irish Scoop!

Xavier grew up in Nebraska where he was a standout athlete in both football and basketball. He takes us back to his AAU hoops days, and how basketball helped shape him into the All-American athlete he is today. When he was in high school, Xavier was originally recruited as a WR and then transitioned into the Safety position where he has flourished. Xavier feels confident that he could play both ways today if the team needed him to.

In the recruitment process, Xavier considered Nebraska, Michigan and Notre Dame. He explains why choosing Notre Dame was the right fit for him and what makes the school so special. Xavier details his Notre Dame journey from freshman to team captain, and the responsibility that comes with that kind of role.

The guys close out the show talking NCAA 25, previewing their huge game against Louisville, and what it was like to have Shane Gillis in the locker room after a big win.

  1. Jordan, you’ve got a gift for real Great communicator.

If only you had a connect who could get you into the media after ND. Maybe ESPN or something. 😂

  2. Another fire episode! When I imagine a dominating WR/Rover/Safety/CB/Linebacker I don't see a chill, grounded, homie. How blessed the teammates are to have Watts!
