In this video, we take an in-depth look at the powerful and efficient golf swing of Madeline Sagstrom, focusing on her exceptional ability to stay truly connected during her backswing—especially up to the midway point.
Staying connected during the backswing is a key component to achieving consistency and power in your golf game. By mastering this crucial move, amateur golfers can reduce compensations in their swing, leading to more reliable ball striking, improved accuracy, and a noticeable boost in distance off the tee.

This should be required viewing for anyone who is just starting out in golf.
am i correct in saying this the more the hips get open prior to impact the more you have to go into right sidebend to get the path still traveling down the target line the only reason i bring this up is it goes back to one of my problems with the hip rotation and ripping those hips open to quickly ive been playing since a junior and when you are young you try to find power sources in the ground and body rather then the chest and arms because you are small and weak so when i was a junior i had that typical junior swing practically both feet off the ground at impact hips open and lots of right side bend now im older i cant side bend as much due to poor flexability but i still have that motor neuron pattern of ripping the hips open early and all this now does it causes me to get stuck and brings loads of problems into play. Ive been looking at some swings like Bryson dechambeua recently and i really notice that he never really gets his lower body hugely open at impact and this is something im trying to go for a quiter lower body and a more arms and chest dominant swing with more face rotation but i ask then is it possible for me to do drills to get my lower body to stop ripping open or is it just impossible
