And that’s the difference between the U.S. and other countries. In the U.S, athletes have to train on their own with private or professional coaches and trainers at their own cost. All other countries, athletes are sponsored and controlled by their governments
France acted as if gymnasts aren’t people with feelings. It’s already hard enough training, but you take her away from an environment where she is comfortable. So stupid.
The gymnasts and the French team didn't "fumble" anything, dont even put the idea out there that the althletes were responsible for this. The blame rests on the French Gymnastics Federation- they are the ones who fucked this up, they are the ones to blame. Hold the FGF accountable and watch your words- you're spreading misinformation.
The French suck. The Olympics in Paris was so foul, the govt is the worst, & they are embarrassingly bad at every sport. And yet they have the nerve to be extremely snobby to everyone else
I think French people were happy for her and she was warmly supported in the arena during the Olympics. She deserved her medal. The French gymnastics community was behind her and thought she made the right choice. The Federation was so viciously stupid that they tried to slow down the process to switch citizenship.
The French Federation made dozens of mistakes when they prepared for the Olympics, both for men and women. It was managed by incompetent and stubborn people who didn’t do what was required. France won medals in gymnastics in 2004, 2008 and 2012. After that, it started to decline. It’s particularly sad for the gymnasts who are talented and work very hard. But the Federation was unable to hire the right people, to manage conflicts between the management and the coaches, didn’t provide the necessary tools for the gymnasts and didn’t invest where it was required. I hope the newly elected head of the federation will react accordingly. Only experienced gymnasts like Samir Aït Saïd and his coach could say how poorly these games were handled.
Brazil ❤loves Nemour and her bars and her story AND i also the fact that in that stadium the french were all supporting her. She’s truly a formidable gymnast and very deserving
They were giving her trouble scores as well. They gave her a hard time and she kept her composure and kept letting her talent show. She was magnificent to watch! Bravo!

Good for her at least she's representing a country that represents her!
I thought you were going to start out with, "Nobody fumbled the baguette harder than the French Gymnastics Team."
Awesome Story 🔥✊💪👏🫡🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I was honestly wondering how she ended up representing Algeria!!! Now I know.
She came out for her original country right? They are raised with 2 cultural backgrounds so it isnt a huge step to go back to your roots…
