Séamus Power got a front-row seat for the start of Scottie Scheffler’s meteoric rise to the top at the 2022 Dell-Technologies Match Play, and he believes he has the game and the experience now to rub shoulders with the world No 1 again in 2025 with the Ryder Cup right at the top of his hit list.
The West Waterford man reached the quarter-finals on his Match Play debut at Austin Country Club that year, topping a group that featured Patrick Cantlay, Keith Mitchell and Sung-Jae Im before thrashing European Ryder Cup player Tyrrell Hatton 4&3 in the round of 16.
