Cabot Links As You’ve Never Seen It Before | GOLF.com

Set hard along a cliff-lined coast in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada’s hottest golf destination evokes Scotland and Cypress Point. (Nice company, right?)

When GOLF.com’s Josh Sens paid a visit to the seven-year-old resort, he found not only a powerhouse pair of links courses but also a unique charm to this quiet corner of the golf world.

  1. one thing i would like to point out is it would be much shorter to fly into sydney airport and not halifax. at least a 3 hr shorter drive.. beautiful tribute . well done… rocky..

  2. "…you look at a course like this, and ALL of this was carpeted in forest…." Thanks for dropping the bomb on such a beautiful course. I was distracted by impeccable beauty until I realised (by that magnificent point you made) that this beautiful course can't compare to what once stood there. You made a scar on an island of limited area….not something to celebrate.

I understand Cape Breton is 90% tourist economy now which is sad, but highlight the great things you have FFS…..like YOUR FUCKING TRAILS. This summer was another great family reunion where I brought my partner ( I'm 25, shes 24 FYI) out to Cape Breton. She had never seen the Ocean so going to Igonish with its waves was pretty great. But reading into touristy info I was blown away by the trails and descriptions about them in the guide and on Reddit. I guarantee you Ontario does not recommend any trails where there are fucking warning signs with instructions on what to do with wildlife nd terrain. (parks excluded but then maybe i was in a park idk. IT WAS GREAT!)

Cape Breton doesn't need a World-class golf course. They need someone to properly market what they have. I went and researched a lot about Cape Breton and Nova Scotia before, and after the trip. My biggest complaint is the tourist industry seems separated. They want rich lucrative people to come live in a castle down from Wycocoghma or buy land and build a house, and they want cheap people to have a fun time and a drink staying at the Inverness(somthing) and the Trailsman. They dont add up. Also turbine falling WTF happening?

SAW PITCHER PLANTS + 2 TYPES OF CARNIVERIOUS PLANTS IN THE HIGHLANDS FOG BOG. CAPE BRETON IS GREAT!!!

  3. Hahahah Ben Cowan-Dewar is the Board Chair of NS Tourism and Director of The Golf Canada Foundation. Its not like he's making a buck or a few thousand on you/people going here or anything……

  4. Beautiful scenery.I wonder how long it will take for Toronto's greedy developers to buy the land and put up 50 plus storey condos and run another real estate mess..

  5. Only 2 weeks now and I will be there. This course looks amazing. Any local tips from anyone that has played. Any must do's. I am looking for good local music…maybe a good pub or something.
