  1. Wow..thats your best video yet!!! ps..I think people would like a part two of this video where you add to what you were saying about the head (maybe with circles etc). It is cool how you turn your head sideways around impact for instance. You also mention the extra shoulder and hip turn we make with driver..we could also use a video on how we can do more of that with our irons. Some of us hit our irons shorter proportionately to our driver if that makes sense Tom.

  2. Most of the problem happens on the downswing I think. Yes, some people restrict the hips on backswing and all you need to do is let arms and shoulders lead the way, but you do need to revert it on the downswing and that is tricky. It happens to me I get my hip stuck on the back and then swing down with arms, which gets all funky.

  3. Hey Tom, I just noticed that you ate using graphite shaft, I'm 58 and still using steel shaft, just began to notice I stayed loosing distance, You think could be time for a change of shaft?

  4. This to me is pure genius. This guy has simplified the golf swing. I haven't been able to put it in to practice yet. But looks really simple and repeatable. I gave up on golf 7 yrs ago. But this is going to bring me back. Tom you are amazing!!!

  5. So damn right ..the sequence of essential movements
Mr saguto has totally in sync here, that lead knee ..IS
pivotal to the entire arc maintaining dynamic posture,
happy and a prosperous new year tom ,and greatly
appreciate ALL your work in sharing these excellent
    invaluable lessons… god bless 😇😎👍👍👍

  6. This knee movement is the key to my swing. If I keep flex in my trail leg I usually hit a less than desirable shot. After keeping it flexed for so many years I have to remind myself to straighten the trail leg . Old habits creep back in sometimes

  7. Good video once again, Tom. I was actually in two minds about this very topic so this video was perfect timing and thanks for clearing it up. Question in regards to the takeaway for S&T, do we manually tilt/dip the left shoulder toward the ball (RH player) or does it happen naturally as we take the club back? I'm not athletic or flexible and my body feels very stiff so I have found that I need to manually tilt the shoulder to the ball in order to get better rotation and the correct amount of tilt so I just want to make sure that is ok to do? Thanks in advance. Keep up the good work.

  8. I have been watching your videos ..and have been improving… But today I watched this video and tried to implement it! Wow I was just crushing my irons. I think that keeping the head still and spine tilt is the major key!

  9. Hi Tom, looking from the front it seems like you don’t put any pressure on the right leg – is that correct? Happy new year ❤

  10. It appears your ball position in the driver part was not as far forward as most prescribe. Is that just camera angle?

  11. Damn bro I came here for golf tips but left thinking i should secure a reverse home mortgage 😂 Nice stache!

  12. Fabulous. Definitely your most hard working video to date. The driver camera position clearly shows that the movement of your right elbow, in towards your body, in the first part of your backswing, is fundamentally key to the inside arc you create. Rory Mcilroy is probably the best driver of the ball in tournament golf; and, he rotates his right elbow in towards his body, also. If you can teach players how to make the exact same move with their right elbow it will help them greatly

  13. Tiger appears to be loading into the lead leg more and earlier in the swing recently. Would be cool to see an analysis of it, if you do those.

  14. Thanks for another great lesson! I have taken literally hundreds of hours of in person instruction and was never taught or shown the procedures that I have seen on your videos. The instructors always start out by having me seeing, then giving me advice on what to change instead of starting from scratch with the foot position, knee flex, , etc. Then the next lesson is not any better. With video, I can watch, back up, watch again, over and over, something that cannot happen with in person learning, Shoulderturn with the hips was NEVER mention, and neither was lag mentioned, much less demonstrated. Thanks, Golftec, for nuthin. I am 75, first started golf when I was 49 and am now learning things for the first time. Have seen many instructors on line before find you, and you make the most sense and have made golf much better and less frustrating for me. .. Now I can watch others and see what they are doing wrong, and realize that I was like them.

  15. Tom, you have helped so much in making my swing easier and better. Before this video I was focusing on bending my forward knee as I start the back swing. But by starting with both knees soft and staightening my back knee when starting the back swing, my forward knee will automatically bend… so easy. Cannot wait for the temps to get back above freezing so I can try this out….. happy new year

  16. I’m interested in joining as I’ve run into inconsistency in my golf game. Can I chat with you Tom or someone directly before signing up?
