This should be a reality check for all who are or were expecting Alcaraz to win everything until he surpasses Djokovic's records. Dethroning the GOAT will not be so easy.

Carlos has huge talent… but.. he doesn’t have a big or pinpoint serve, so he’ll always be vulnerable. Plus the unforced error % is massive compared to Djokovic. When Djokovic was dominant he was virtually never beaten by an “outsider”. Carlos will win 11-13 slams max.

Alcaraz will never be the goat
Next year is the last year Alcaraz is gonna be beaten by player underneath his quality because of lack of consistency. After that very very rarely he would lose in important tournaments except for SInner and maybe some new wonder kid. To see him play like this after that final against Sinner just few days a go is a surprise to say at least. And no , it dose not take away any credit from Machac but if Alcaraz played some 20% better he would have won. Missing easy balls , not concentrated enough, and playing too many times even when not forced to Machack´s very good forehand.

If you ask who is the player of this ATP tourney, I want to cast my vote to Tomas Machac. He was impeccable throughout the whole event. Especially, commanding serves of Machac make a large difference in accordance with his rivals. It is the largest weapon to dictate the toilsome rallies at each step. Well-deserved victory from Czech tennis competitor!

Machac is playing tennis well above his real level, he lets the shots go, he has no obligations and the thought of winning by force.
But I don't think he will last beyond this tournament, as I said he is playing lucky tennis and above his normal possibilities.

Entiendo que manejar la fama tan joven no es fácil, menos mal que a este joven español hubo quien lo parara, diversamente tiene el perfil de quien nadie se aguantara su altanería, aún así por su bien espero que este partido de algo se sirva.
Tennis is a sport with very thin margins.. there is nothing to do with inconsistency, guy has 4 Slams and a silver olympic medal and many other titles being 21 years/old. Its just what happens in that level of dispute.
