  1. Thabks Nick. The GB5 or Arctic Vibe may get into my bag at some point. I guess I am in the minority where i do not care for a Purple Hammer Urethane. I much prefer the Storm Pitch Black and if I were to go with a B7 urethane, I would go with the Black Hammer Pearl Urethane. The Purple Hammer is a shim wrecker, even for the person throwing it.

  2. I'd add the Widow series when you consider price to performance. I don't think you can get better performance at the price from any brand.

  3. Great video as always! One good point also is that its release season. With brands putting out new gear, old one may go on sale. I scooped up my Columbia Atlas (Solid) for $95 once the Atlas Hybrid got released. Also agree with the Vibes. I picked up an Ocean Vibe and its definitely a much more advanced ball than its price would lead you to believe.

  4. love this list and it illustrates pretty well that hammer has one of the best lines in bowling. I would argue you could've mentioned the BW 3.0 as a "budget" high performance ball even, same performance as the big boys but down a step in price from the extreme envy, mesmerize, etc. Hammer releases banger after banger.

  5. Nick you Rock and solid bowler. Thought on Hammer purple reactive not the urethane one then any idea on the Hammer Jacked Raw? One more I have a Brunswick Attitude Control pearl Urethane that I just love it a sleeper under the radar

  6. To be honest, Nick, you could have thrown the BW 3.0 in there. Similar price point to the Scorpions and the performance rivals some upper performance asyms. I know when we say budget, we never think of an asym. But the fact you can get a 3.0 for a similar price to that of a Scorpion; that is what I would call a budget friendly asym.

  7. I added the Scorpion Strike to my league bag as a step down off of my 3.0 and Effect. It has been a great compliment so far I'm very happy with it.

  8. Ebonite Emerge hybrid. Not sure of price when it was new but I see it same price point as GB series and that ball has some serious backend

  9. I own as far as Brunswick balls the gb4 solid, the radical crypto, the track latitude pearl, the Brunswick ultimate nirvana, the DV8 brutal collision, the DV8 hellcat, and the radical trailblazer solid, for spares I have the brunswick tzone Caribbean blue.

  10. One of the main reasons I throw exclusively B7 balls now is B7 deals. Everything else is so overpriced. But if you just follow what B7 puts out and keep a running list of what B7 balls are on your radar, virtually all of them go on major clearance towards the end of their run. And bowling ball runs end within like 6-12 months of their debuts. So I treat it like a crypto market, just watching the bowling shopping sites every few days and then snipe B7 balls when they fall into that golden $90-120 B7 clearance range. i have grabbed so many great balls this way (Paragon Solid, Katana Assault, Brutal Collision, Legion Solid, Archetype, Crypto Boom, etc etc etc) and it is the best thing. You can get all of B7's stuff for literally 50% of the price of the competition if you just wait a few months. This business model of B7 along with the best engineering in the industry, the biggest catalogue and Radical's media department are the reasons I am a huge B7 devotee.

  11. Great list! I know it was probably hard narrowing down what to put on that list but I love my Hammer Raw solid, I haven’t thrown the pearls or the hybrids but I feel like my solid performs way above the price point it comes in at

  12. Niiiiick, I used to watch you bowl at Santa Clarita Lanes! Thanks for the reviews! My son just got into bowling and I was just talking about your back swing like a week ago.

  13. I have two pre-loved luxrul that people left the stickers on, and when you remove them, the hardware looks different than the hardware right next to it that the sticker didn't touch. It's not because the other has scratches, the sticky stuff affected the finish.

  14. is there anything like the scorpion low flare? i stand on the on the far right and aim for the 1-2 instead of 1-3, i also average 16.25 mph i don’t know if that’s considered speed dominant player..any recommendations?

  15. What is the best beginner bowling ball to get that can "grow with you" a bit. I was between storm tropical surge, ebonite fireball, Brunswick rhino, and either the hammer raw or hammer magenta urethane. Please help

  16. Love my cherry Vibe ball. Need to figure out what else to get for a base 3 ball arsenal for league.

  17. This is cool, but I wish you listed the prices as well, even if it was just from one popular site so we can get a ballpark comparison

Edit: I looked them up, but I'm sharing the Bowlers Mart Prices as of 12/6/24 here to hopefully save someone else time:

    – Hammer Black Pearl Urethane $149.95

  18. DV8 Chill series should also make this lineup for BoB, IMO. Solid and Pearl and nice compliments to each other and reviewed by BrunsNick and very affordable.

  19. Just got a Radioactive Vibe. Was on Clearance for $125. The Artic vibe was $150 regular price. (Still included).
