An uneventful weekend of blowout College Football Games and the only thing remembered was Kirk Herbstreit being fed up with the lunacy that goes on at First Take. Just this morning, Stephen A. Smith and Shannon took offense to Herbstreit’s criticism. Whitlock further explains that there is a race war going on at ESPN. Some take the high road… others do not.

I remember watching ESPN in the 80s when they were a relatively new network. I can't believe what they have devolved into.

Jason, get a usage dictionary and learn the distinction between "imply" and "infer." Next, Herbstreit and Fowler, despite their positions at ESPN, suck. Herbstreit is annoying, and Fowler is a screaming drama queen. Next, the clip of them that Jason played contained nothing about Deion. What I heard when they were talking about when they spoke of the "lunatic fringe," weren't they talking about OSU fans who wanted Day's head after the most recent fiasco against Michigan? Maybe there's some cat-fighting at ESPN, but I thought Herbstreit's and Fowler's digs at the "lunatic fringes" were digs at OSU fans, not Smith and Sharpe.
Who listens to that little larpers voice and takes it seriously?
These "arguements" are all staged. They create free advertising for the debate shows. My Youtube recommendations are full of "Fraud" and "Fighting Back" and "Fed Up" thumbnails. They're all just a ratings grab.

GET UP and FIRST TAKE have gone from being a semi-sports show to a Hot Take kinda show just hear themselves out talk each other and just give sometimes stupid opinions. Ill echo what militarychaplin4life said….. How damn ironic is that First Take is a 2hr show that mostly criticizes everything in sports – but get butt hurt if they are called out for the exact same thing. I think KH maybe shouldnt have said FT maybe used other shows just to keep it civil on air.

Why is it a race war? I certainly have wondered how long will OSU tolerate losing to Big Blue. It's a legitimate "take."
