I don’t use a glove but I did in the beginning. This is why I stopped.

Let me help you get an effortless golfswing with speed and accuracy. I call it the circle of speed. A good release will help you to a better impact and longer drives and irons without slice and hook. How to swing a golf club need to be adjusted to your skill level and experience.

Long and straight is the goal for everyone but it takes time. Try to focus on one thing not everything when you practise. Impact, face control and swingpath will always be the most important part to drill. We focus too much on rotation but no good golf shot will be executed just by rotating.

I’m naturally right handed but all my tips works for both left handed and right handed golfers playing either way.

We also need to understand that many myths in golf are misleading. Everything that you find on the internet isn’t true. Ben Hogan, Sam Snead are two of the legends that are often misunderstood. To understand golf we need to take it step by step and learn every part of the swing before we move on to the next. It’s like a big jigsaw puzzle that we all can figure out.

Some pro’s that hit draw: Rory McIroy, Xander Schauffele, Patrick Reed, Sepp Straka and many, many more.

We shall not keep our head still, only start with the hips, look only at the ball or keep the left or right arm straight. Understand what do do with the club and let your body find the best way possible.

If you use callaway, ping, titleist or taylor made clubs doesn’t matter you can learn to hit good golf shots. Your loft or your shaft on the club will not change but you can always get better.

Find what inspires you. Golf basics are the same for everyone. The pga tour, longdrivers or other good golfers can all help you find better golf shots. Watch what they do instead of listed to what they say. Listen mostly to your body and figure out what you need to do to produce the same results as the pros on TV. Be careful when you watch a golf swing in slow motion. The result isn’t always what the golfer is trying to do. Feel and real are seldom the same.

Mike Malaska, Mike Austin, Mike Dunaway, Pete Cowen and Steve Pratt are some of my favorite golf instructors online. Find the tips that make your golf better. Decide what you want to hit. I teach a draw but many like a fade and nobody likes a hook or slice.

Your hips or your lag is not the key to golf. Your hands will decide the shot and you can do like Tiger Woods and trust your hands. Teach your hands to hit different shots. Hit big hooks and slices to understand what happens. Only straight is not gonna teach you anything.

Bryson Dechambeu and Kyle Birkshire can inspire you to hit it longer. Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson can give you inspiration and motivation to test new things and new golf shots. Linn Grant, Viktor Hovland and Ludvig Aberg can show you the future of golf.

The Masters, Players Championship, The Players, The Open and US Open can make you love golf even more. See the best in the world solve all the problems we all need to master any golf course. Golf is a craft and you need fantasy, feel and skills to master it.

Hurricane Milton is coming.

  1. I dont use gloves. I have been a craftman, mason , for more than 50 year, My generation did not use gloves .You did not feel the tools propely. And the same for me playing golf,

  2. I agree it's not necessary. Started as a kid, no money for glove, then after two years was given one as a present. Felt it was part of necessary golf gear and started saving my kid's pocket money to buy new ones.
In my 20's I went to the range, forgot my glove, hit 200 balls without any problem. Went 10 years with no glove.
Won a pack of 3 gloves in a raffle and have used them ever since. My opinion just a fashion accessory, comforter, like those baseball caps everyone wears.

  3. I play with glove sometimes, other times without. Doesn’t really matter, just the feel for the day.
And, it’s a bit inconvenient to have a glove when you are natural right handed and play lefitie, because you do a lot of stuff with your dominant hand.

About putting I don’t know why it’s a big nono to putt with your glove on, I feel no difference whatsoever.

  4. When I started golf I couldn’t figure out why just the lead hand had a glove but I wanted to fit in so I wore one

Later I got a par of Winn grips on my clubs and loved the feeling so I stopped wearing a glove

Now I wear 2 gloves and they are the golf rain gloves not because of the rain but for my sweaty hands

Summer time in south Louisiana the humidity is very heavy and my hands can never stay dry and the rain gloves saved the day

You would be surprised how comfortable they are and not hot at all …. At least to me

I wear them all day and never take them off and they come 2 in a pack … I prefer the Foot Joy brand

They also make for a good winter glove … not that cooled here in LA.

I use the JumboMax brand grips and they are very comfortable and on the days when it’s not that cold I don’t wear them just for the feel of the grips but those days are not many … Im not a fan of cold hands

Another good thing about them is … on our carts we have a ice chest and I like a clean ball when I play so before every shot if the ball does need to be cleaned I just with my rain glove on I stick my hand with the ball into the melted ice water and clean the ball and with no worries grab a club and continue to play

The club doesn’t slip with the wet glove just like there made for

Sweaty hands is no problem no more or dirty balls

Does wearing 2 gloves make me not normal as you put it like you Big Swede … 😳😳😳

    👍⛳️👍

  5. Thanks mate for answering another one of my questions! 🙂

I started without a glove but very quickly got blisters on the hand. In retrospect, it probably was just a bad grip…

    Merry Christmas!

  6. If you think about it, a glove promotes the use of the lead hand pulling, it makes sense to not wear a glove or wear a glove on both hands!

  7. My brother wears two gloves because his hands are soft and blister easily…
I only wear a glove when it gets hot and my hand sweats…
Gloves are tools like everything else…

  8. On the opening titles, there’s going to be a lot of golf balls down there when the snow thaws 😂, Happy Christmas / New Year coach and to all followers of the best on YT 👍🇬🇧

  9. Man! I really love the sound your driver makes when you hit a ball! Good video. I live in Memphis TN. Summers here are hot and humid. After a few holes the club begins to slip in my fingers without one. In the spring and fall no glove is required.

  10. Good Yule!
I was in Mexico playing and didn't bring any gloves, and then I remembered you said you don't really need gloves.
(And I have played with someone else who said they learned to play without gloves, so why use them now).
So I didn't buy an extra pair, and when I came back I just decided to go glove less.

There was a while I used two gloves, when I did a 10 finger grip and I didn't hold the club tight enough.

  11. I never wore a glove. But now I have to wear a glove on both hands. I use the Bionic gloves.

  12. I did not seem to gain anything with the glove. Maybe like the other person 45 years of carpentry i needed to feel grip. Also i got tired of putting in on and off to putt.
    Merry Christmas
    Thanks for your teaching

  13. Marcus, thank you for answering viewer questions over the past few weeks, I learned a lot. Merry Christmas and happy 2025!

  14. Marcus question : when your creating your circle of speed is it on your swing path or more on your 45 degree line

    Thanks 👍⛳️👍

  15. Merry Christmas Marcus, Thanks for your Christmas tips that was a great idea I look forward to them daily. Out here in US California it’s cold wet not snowy. It’s a challenge but we still go out. If you get a chance can you send tips on wet weather golf? Thanks again, Rick

  16. Why use a glove. I’ve never seen a tennis, squash or badminton player wearing a glove. So why use a glove when playing golf ? Happy Christmas to everyone. Marcus you do a great job, thank you for all your tips !

  17. I'm 69 and have a simulator at home, and play course golf 4-5 times a week, and some of those days play 36 holes, probably 2 times a week and play 4-5 rounds on the simulator a day in the evenings. I use 2 gloves at home and on course when cold. I use T-GRIPS also without a glove on the course. My reason for glove wear is to save my hands from my addiction to play ⛳.
