  1. This instruction has made me aso much better dropping scores now in mid to high 70s 73 yes old this shit works tuk I the right elbow Works

  2. Those negative comments are clueless, they didn’t even bother to check your videos with your swings what really tucked elbow is.

  3. I mean you make the same videos and all it does is help reinforce good swing mechanics. I mean it really is as simple as, weight more on lead foot, let the shoulders swing the club, tilt shoulder down to the ball, tuck the elbow, and make sure you have a good grip. Ever since I’ve done that, I hit the ball a million times better, and not only do I hit it better, but I have confidence in those swing and setup thoughts: so I know if I hit the ball bad then I didn’t do one of those things. Tom is the man for real

  4. LPGA tour too. At the chevron major earlier this year some of the biggest hitters were bombing drives looking like hogans rope around the arms picture. Both elbows down and arms close together. I promise for their size they were maximizing length and accuracy. I’d take their game in a heartbeat.

  5. I don’t care what any of these people say, I have written in my notes on my phone the exact steps you talk about in your videos, and have applied them on the range and course, and have hit the ball amazingly. People will watch 5 minutes and have something to say, I’ve literally watched your 10 hour compilation video that you have on your channel. I know it works, you can’t tell me otherwise 😂

  6. Basically, we're talking about opening the arm pitular area. So those polyester golf shirts create a pit smell. Clamp it Jed. Clamp the pit shut.

  7. Justin Rose even puts the sleeves of his shirt under his armpits to better feel the connection. And he's not exactly the latest arrival.

  8. You've already worked for me over the last couple of years… now I'm getting invited to scrambles and such. I'm outdriving the old longsticks. I think that you are inherently lazy. In a good way. Work smarter, not longer. Or work smarter, hit longer.

  9. Tom is going to need sheetrock patching tips pretty soon haha. Thanks for all the great tips, whenever i can focus on your fundamentals I play better.

  10. If the best selling instruction book in the history of the game is backing you up on this, then I'll put that over YouTube commenters that ain't nobody heard of.

That book and your course (and a few other channels here) have helped me make good progress in my first six months. But if mikeabel75¥®€£©643@#$%77 or others want to put up videos presenting their case, I'll happily take it under consideration.

  11. Individual perception of a concept can be frustrating, for both the teacher and student. This is for naysayers. Internal rotation of right elbow at address is tucked. Don't confuse a tucked right arm with keeping elbow joint pinned to side of body through entire back and down swing. Also, don't confuse a higher right elbow at top as not still being internally rotated at elbow joint which is still in good rotational tucking position, but now you have to bring it back in closer to body on downswing. Finally, Tom showed everyone video evidence proving his instruction on this and comically, as he used the naysayers' very own proof against Tom to prove THEM wrong!

  12. Lmao. One step away from greatness. This has to be painful to have to teach this over and over. Excellent content! Thank you.

  13. My golf has come on loads since watching your films Tom – thank you.

This is a game changer for anyone who has been swinging over the top 👍

  14. Always someone saying you're wrong! Your right! I use stack and tilt, my swing has improved greatly since watching you and Rob Cheney, the only two I now watch. Keep up with your great teaching!!

  15. Loved it Tom. Already aligned, and more so now. I can understand its frustrating getting the message across. Perhaps the best way to explain "keep the elbow tucked in" is "rotate the upper arm inwards as much as possible USING THE SHOULDER JOINT ONLY" Try it with the arm outstretched first, keep the rotation, then bend the elbow to 90 degrees to (almost) touch the front of the R hip.
Also, to cut out all the fluffy extra moves in the backswing " The common denominator of all great ball strikers starts from about P6. You can either take the scenic route to get there (and perhaps get lost along the way) or just get there directly"
    Hope that helps
    Schaun

  16. People can swing which ever way they like
But you have transformed my ball hitting in two weeks
The gift of the few stack and tilt ideas help average players become A grade golfers without hitting
    1000s of balls
    Thank you 🙏
because it’s better playing golf when you hit sensational shots
    Enjoyed the video
lol I think I have watched heaps of videos in the last two weeks

  17. It was not until after observing how my playing partners were able to consistently make contact with the ball with their trail arms tucked closer to their bodies and imitating their movements that I started hitting fewer airballs and worm burners. I still have occasionally frustrating relapses but once I calm down and smooth out my tempo I’m rewarded by that sweet “snick” of the ball kissing the club face and going airborne.

  18. To the person who said Jordan Spieth doesn't so why should I? I say Ben Hogan did and Byron Nelson did so why shouldn't I?

  19. Because Scottie Scheffler's (literally the best player on the planet) trail arm stays glued to his body… 🤣😂🤣 Youtube golf "instructors" are hilarious.
We're not all built the same so our swings can't all be the same.

  20. Tom, you have it right . Tucked it in , I am enjoying my game so much from your tips. Simple and easy to adapt. Thank you Tom

  21. Craig Stadler, Bruce Lietzke, Craig Parry… "never amounted to anything" I don't mean to be a jerk but I'm 53 & play off +2 tipped out. You're effectively telling me I'm a bad golfer because you can't grasp something you can't do.

  22. You are a great teacher. The 4 things I focus on in right arm tucked, rock the shoulders, left arm straight and weight slightly forward. Been making some great swings. Ignore the keyboard warriors. You are right. When you lift your arms up you have to retuck.

  23. Yeah ok, this is the oldest golf concept going aside from keep your eye on the ball. And we are still searching. But i guess it "sells"

  24. Tucking the trail arm is key and combined with left shoulder dip (pointing at ball) when striking creates powerful shots. Keep it simple!

  25. Great video as usual Tom… I got a good chuckle out of the clown comments…smh…It's sad when people don't realize great instruction when they see it….Keep up the good work and thank you Tom.

  26. IDK, by tucking my right arm I've learned to apply power at the right time and it's led to more accuracy, and BTW much less effort. Thanks Tom

  27. Even though this came from a negative comment, this video (as well as rebuting very well) has also deepend my understanding of the tucked elbow and removed some of my misunderstanding.

    Thanks Tom

  28. Ur bend forward is what taises the club. Angle proper and keep ur trail elbow connected to “ur watch pocket” as hogan says

  29. All, study the anatomy of ur trail shoulder joint and how the shoulder is able to move. U will understand how starting untucked requires u to go “in and under” on the way back which is what jack does. This move is rarely understood by amateurs. Its far easier for us amateurs to do as coach saguto says. Start tucked

  30. Tom, I'm just an average golfer that plays close to 70 rounds a year. My main goal is to get enjoyment from my game. Your instructional videos have helped me accomplish that goal over the past two seasons. Your way of teaching and explaining is easy to understand and it offers suggestions that can be immediately taken to the course. I shaved close to 20 strokes off of my score, just 2.5 years ago. I was in the low 100-115 range in 2021 and now I am routinely in the 80's, at 61 years of age. You have a very practical way of teaching a thought process and making it very easy to understand. Too many online guru's over-explain and complicate things. I quit watching other instructors and it cleared up the noise in my head on the course.

  31. I think this is the best advice for golfers for most levels. Doesn't mess up your swing, works off the tee and the deck.
