These are lovely putters and I’ve had a shot of both in the shop. The milled face all day for me. The interesting thing for me with these putters and other clubs to be fair is where all the marketing hype will take us in the years to come! The AI claims are rather outlandish in my view but I guess it’s the golf world we live in.
The problem, the white hot insert will sucker you into thinking it's super soft and it feels awesome in the store. Then, after a few weeks of playing, you begin to have distance control problems with the insert. So many better players end up not liking the insert because of the speed problems. The milled faces are just more consistent, so having this tech in a milled face is interesting. Although in reality, it's probably not much different than it evnroll has been doing for a while, just with a different approach to the face thickness
Odyssey please keep on releasing new putters in the #8 shape too!
