Good Good really needs to get back to what made them great. Why not add a fourth team with Bobbi? That would’ve really made this video pop. It’s more fun to watch him hit some great shots, and some not-so-great ones, rather than seeing the other guys hitting the same predictable shots over and over again (let’s be honest, we already know what to expect).
The biggest disappointment, though, and exactly what I expected after supporting the Majestics these past few years, is seeing them play so poorly that they’d probably have to fight just to win their own club championship, even in this video.
Stenson still has some game left, but Ian Poulter? Oh my God, if he had to compete for a PGA Tour card the last couple of years, I can only imagine how low he would have ranked (250–300, in my humble opinion). But what makes it even worse for Stenson is that he’s stuck with Lee Westwood as one of his teammates. It’s bad enough having Poulter on your team, but then to have Westwood there too? Talk about being stuck with a sinking ship.
Now, don't get me wrong—these guys all seem to be the nicest guys in the world, and it’s clear they’ve been a huge part of golf for years. But it’s honestly shocking how quickly the older Brits have fallen from playing world-class golf to a point where, if we’re being 100% honest, they’d likely struggle to even win on the senior tour at this stage. Age is clearly taking its toll, and the LIV tour came along as a literal lifeline for their fading careers. I’m actually surprised they managed to get such good deals, but I guess that’s what happens when you’re willing to take a chance on something new. (Genius move by them all.) No ill will towards them for that—but it’s still a bit sad to see the team so young with no real hope of improvement in sight because of the captaincy rules.
