Player of the YearAnthony Monteleone
Winter Haven, Senior
Averages: 9-hole: 34.4, 18-hole 69.6
Monteleone, thanks to love and dedication to the sport and a great support system, has developed into a generational player. Every season since being in Polk County, he has gotten better as a golfer. He capped off his illustrious high school golfing career with a first-place finish at state after shooting a 70 and a 71 on Day 1 and 2, respectively. What a player. Now it’s on to Florida Southern golf for Monteleone.
Coach of the YearCharlie James
Winter Haven
James has been at the helm of a Winter Haven team that has boasted some of the top talent in Polk County in the last few years or so. His knowledge of the game and calm demeanor has infused in his talent an uncanny ability to focus on the moment and play in the moment with a joy, which allows his golfers to zero in on the task at hand. His boys team this year took these characteristics and finished tops in the county in major local tournaments once more.
