  1. As a bearded, long haired late middle aged man, I have had loads of comments on golf courses about my appearance. Bothered me at first but not anymore. You just keep being you and hitting those sweet draws.

  2. Yes sir!! I played with a guy who showed up in some painters pants for a PGA P.A.T. and HE QUALIFIED!!
If J. Daly started wearing Chucks, You bet everyone would be wearing them. 😂

  3. Years ago I played at the marine base with work boots and hard hat. We had a Wednesday summer scramble my team won all but one. When ask I said work boots only shoes I had with me (we were golfing after work). Hard was to protect my head from their eran shots. So I love it.

  4. Slow play and un-repaired, or poorly repaired ball marks on the greens are what annoys me on the course, I couldn't care less about what others are wearing.

  5. Pretty funny! Complaints about your clothes!!?? What!! I guess they have nothing else to complain about!! Don't like it!?? Move on!!

  6. Brought my son to a golf camp at a private club years ago. He was about 12. He looked good but he didn't wear a collared shirt. When we got out of the car the guy running the show said, "He can't join us; he's not appropriately dressed." I told my son to hop back into the car, and I said, "It's a summer program for kids who have no golf idea and you're worried about his shirt–we'll be right back!" I brought him home, found a collared shirt, brought him back to join the group that hadn't started yet. I didn't get mad, just conformed to a crazy idea that had nothing to do with playing golf. My son is a middle-aged man and still tells the story. Today, pros and YouTube Golfers are wearing all sorts of comfortable and cool (take that both ways) stuff. I'm sure wearing a bathing suit might cause waves, but the 50s/60s idea of golf clothes snobbery is still way out of line. Jim, you look good in your chosen and recognizable golf attire. Enjoy your practice tee. Cheers!

  7. When I first went out and played without a collar on by my shirt I felt like I was doing something wrong. That sucked cuz they had me brainwashed

  8. 👏 👏 Well said Sir. 😊
    I love golf.
    I love golf courses.
But golf clubs and their pompous self serving rules? Not so much…😕 😂
Your golf method simply cuts through ALL the nonsense. It's made the game a joy for me and I share and applaud your disdain for dress codes.
No dress code cures slow play or rakes bunkers or repairs divots and pitchmarks or endows club members with a considerate attitude.
If it doesn't help the playing of the game it has no place being near the game.

  9. Jim is hitting balls into a desert for crying out loud. Who's he trying to impress? Plus I'm sure if he was invited to a nice club, he'd be respectful of their rules if they had any.

  10. Jim you look great no need to impress anyone except those that want to learn some truth… I can't wait for spring in NE so I can work on your swing which after having tried so many other methods that give so so results…

  11. I always think your belt loop is your crack ha golfers look like scoops of ice cream in collars

  12. the "Golf Ball " or the "Golf Course" has absolutely "No Idea" what your wearing…and frankly doesn't give a "Damn My Dear " !!!

  13. Still we do see an awful lot of wankers down here in Florida on the golf courses, sometimes in the afternoons. A lot of people in just awful looking attire, and then mistreating the golf course as well. To me, decorum in the way you look it's a sign of respect and a reflection of how you treat the course and the game. I wear Chuck's because I don't have that much sensation in the bottoms of my feet, and I can feel the course better. Also they come in tons of colors and we're stylers.😂

  14. Hahaha…that's so funny. I was an assistant Pro at a golf course in AZ, that had changed their name and image, and was trying to get the local cowboys to wear collared shirts…they just laughed at us, but I was adamant about the cowboy boots on the greens tho…lol

  15. Those people who criticize what other people wear on the course are the reason many of us still look at golf as a "snobby, uppity" sport. I will rock a pair of cargo shorts, a tee shirt and some Adidas lows as my go to golf attire. Screw the haters and play for yourself, not others. 👊

  16. Jim thanks for you and the swing shot my best round ever yesterday I'm 61yrs old and played from the tips in a county Amateur tournament and shot a 76 could have been a even par I still can't putt and having big issues with pulling puts , especially 5 to 6 footers thanks again a have a Merry Christmas and a save new year🎉

  17. Your clothes are fine, but dam it; howabout wearing a cap…I mean, I am thinking reverse lid might accentuate the closed stance…nice…!!

  18. I always thought you were a cool motherfucker Jim; I often rock the black tee and green Volcom pants myself. I occasionally like to play golfer collared shirt and all that stuff; usually when I’m away or at a fancier place. If I’m at my muni? Shorts and tee shirt is just fine.
