Maybe is Mark had not stopped playing after 7 games in the regular season he could have extended his # of sacks. He quit on his teammates and on the Jets. You quit on yourself.
Reggie White and Mark Gatineau were two completely different defensive ends, Reggie was a run stopper and had many tackles for loss… team player and Gatineau was ONE dimensional and was not a team player he was all about himself.:.

The bottom line is that Gastineau has brain damage (CTE) and we're seeing it manifesting itself in his odd behavior.
His teammates, particularly Lyons and Klecko wouldn't vote for him for HoF. That says something. He played with those guys, side by side for all of the 1980's.
