Hard to not include Vice on here…or other direct to consumer. Totally understand what you were trying to do here, but eliminating the direct to consumer takes away about 50% of the debate.
Just bought a box of triads , 24.99 a dozen , they feel good and seem to be very durable from the first round . Going to use them through the winter 👍
I agree i love thectru feel. It flies low for me which is what i need great Ball.👍
The Vice Pro Air is an amazing 3 piece, but 39.99 a little pricey. Its my 3 piece go to ball. Will try the Tru Feel as a 2 piece option. Thank you
Great test ,thanks for the advise and I enjoy your golf video,s very much
Watching from Australia
Thought for sure you were describing the Legato 3085 ($23.99 US on sale ) as your #1 …
Seed and Snell are great choices. Both perform well at a great value when buying in bulk.
Thanks for another interesting video Luke. I hope you are well and looking forward to some relaxaton over the holiday period. What I learned from testing a variety of golf balls last year in the simulator was that several balls seemed to feel good and give good Trackman numbers for me in the sim but when I tried them on the course things were a little different. I'm sticking with my Vice Pro Plus for now but I was impressed with the Wilson Triad.
I play Trufeel and Tour Soft from Titleist … although I do find the more expensive Tour Soft slightly more spinny around the greens, the Trufeel is just as good if not better in all other measures, and spins enough around the greens too. For the price, in Australia, the Trufeel is no doubt the best value ball for slower to mid/moderate swing speed players, but of course the Pro V1 fanboys won’t entertain the thought and they’ll never try one either
5. Bridgestone BRX-RXS
4. Callaway ERC Soft
3. Wilson Triad
2. Srixon AD333-Q Star
1. Titleist True Soft. Winner!
Thank you very much for providing your list of recommended balls, Luke. You’re very good for the game of golf in at least two ways — you provide us great information so that we can make educated decisions that will hopefully result in our playing better, and you’re a fine ambassador for our sport. May you have a safe and joyous holiday season!
My speed and numbers are very similar to yours, Luke. As I've come steadily down from a 12 to a 3 over the past 3 years or so, I've played almost every ball out there at one time or another – from Prov1 to Supersoft to the X tour balls and back and forth again. The three I keep coming back to are the TruFeel, the ERC Soft, and the Vice Pro Soft, now called the Vice Pro Air. The Vice Pro Air is almost identical in performance and construction to the BRXS and the Tour Response. I would add that I don't need a ton of greenside spin for my game, so the ionomer TruFeel and ERC Soft work very well for me, but someone who uses a lob wedge a lot and wants lots of spin might prefer a firmer urethane ball.
Hello Luke and all. I love the TruFeel. I've played it much but not exclusively, and it's everything you say it is. Additionally, it's very durable. Best ball for the money out there that I've tried. I've also used the B RX and it's a good ball too. I'm playing the previous version not this years and they're 10 bucks cheaper. I've found that the durability is lacking though. I may not buy them again because of that and the limited availability now. My new favorite is the Maxfli Tour, again the previous version. Too bad it's not a worldwide offering, I think many would love it. Reasonably good price to begin with, and often have unbeatable bulk sales. Thanks again, and enjoy whatever holidays you may celebrate.
Great video Luke, giving your honest and unbiased opinion which I cannot argue with.
The newest Kirkland ball that came out last month is going to turn some heads. If you're shopping at Costco, grab a box with the red stripe. It's not spinny like the last iteration.
Kirkland Signature?
The Bridgestones, Triad, srixons. We must have a very similar game. I agree 100 % with your list
Snell golf balls.
Cut Red is the best inexpensive ball to me. If I’m spending more the Seed Country Mile is great.
Brx great ball …as is the triad using for winter now
Erc decent used to be £32 which was better not worth 40
Luke…2 dozen Wilson triad £50 no brainer
Brilliant video Luke keep up the good work 👍 we need you on YT hope your channel grows mate
I use Srixon Ultisoft, £20 a dozen, great ball.
Q star tours at 22 pounds a dozen for a 3 piece ball are hard to beat
I prefer to use a premium ball for the control and as I play 3 or 4 times a week I go thru a lot of balls. So I get my balls off eBay. You can get Pro v1s that look like they have been hit once for about £1.50 ball and there not lake balls. plus I get b grade balls for practise balls. So I play and practise with the same ball
BRX is the best golf ball I’ve ever played. Closest ball I’ve played to a ProV1 feel and durability!
Clubhouse Golf (online retailer) have the Bridgestone at £31.49
Great review have played tour response now play Triad brilliant ball. It will go nicely in the new year with my new Dynapwr forged irons and the new woods when they come out. Looking forward to your review on the new Wilson woods.
