  1. Great job landing a Johnny Mac interview, great job on the interview questions (trenchant, hardball, inside stuff and no simpy fluff), great job on the production. Stellar.

  2. Hey Andy, speaking of Mac going from a legendary playing career straight into being a legendary commentator I was hoping you’d do the same and was disappointed when you didn’t. But this podcast is the next best thing. Or maybe better. So well done and keep it up. 👍

  3. I loved when McEnroe stated the obvious that female players are not on the same level as male players, and refused to back down from it notwithstanding the politically correct pressure exerted on him.

  4. There were actually some really great matches in Davis Cup this year Johnny. The USA vs Australia tie was brilliant and Fritz played well. The fact that the whole thing was yet again in the same place with the same fans screaming for the same winners was the problem. Unfortunately Italy will now win for the next ten years, both women and men, because it's being held in Italy. Davis Cup is a tragedy with a footballer in charge – but you can still enjoy playing each other and ignore the audience.

  5. Carlos is not losing because of tall people he's losing because he does not take any time off.
It's no wonder the beginning of the year he won two Grand slams had some injury time off and then basically from June he didn't stop.
He played more tennis than anybody and it showed in his results.

  6. I didn't have a good opinion of Johnny Mac before today, I thought he was a bit bombastic at times. I stand totally corrected. wow. What a great guy. He is so funny but also there was so much humility in his words and he made so much sense. He was so real and vulnerable about his own life and mistakes etc. I like that he also didn't try to weigh in on topics that he wasn't really fully up to date with, like the doping situation. Very impressed.

  7. Andy (and team), you must be chuffed about this one. My fav is still your interview with Eric Butorac, but this show sizzled. Way to go and only upwards for 2025! Cheers and high spirits.

  8. Watch it Andy – Mac will probably start his own tennis podcast. He's always looking to make more money and be back in the spotlight. I wish someone would ask him why he was so angry and disrespectful back in the day? And he got away with it! He probably watches his own matches on Tennis channel.

  9. Never liked McEnroe because of his spoiled brat attitude on the court but definitely love him off the court and his incredible knowledge and personality now
