The Switch is flooded with brand-new games from unheard of developers every single week, and that’s exactly what’s happened today. More often than not the games are of dubious nature, but one of the latest offerings might just win players over with it’s truly inventive control scheme.
Mini Golf Simulator is available on Switch right now, and it comes from developer Takahiro Miyazawa. You can pick up the game right now and enjoy a mini-golf game unlike any other, as it uses a unique control method cooked up by Miyazawa himself.
As you can see in the video above, playing Mini Golf Simulator as intended involves suspending one Joy-Con from two different Joy-Con straps, and then holding another Joy-Con in your hand as you would during normal play. To actually swing your putter, you “swing” the suspended Joy-Con by its dangling straps.
We’re pretty darn shocked that Nintendo allowed this game to make its way onto the eShop, as it seems like a Joy-Con strap usage that the company would be completely against. Either that’s not the case or Nintendo wasn’t paying close attention! There’s always a chance Nintendo higher-ups might catch on and decide this sort of play style is too risky, so snatch this game now before Nintendo takes notice!
