Mikey T been my gut since day 1
I can't remember which former Steelers player said it, but it went along the lines of "Tomlin's talents are wasted as a head coach, he could do something much more important." or something like that. It feels true after watching Hard Knocks.
Rich Eisen is fire for this segment. Coach Tomlin is an amazing coach. Coolest coach in the NFL
He is a players coach, he knows how to communicate with each of his playmakers. He "shifts" constantly talking to each player and each player knows he puts in the work for them to treat them the way they want to be treated.
He is going to walk up to Feiremuth and slap him on his back and say "Big catch MUUUUUUTH" but then walk up to Wilson and shift to what Wilson needs to hear which is a compliment sandwich.
Love it or hate it, its what works with a bunch of pro athletes that can go anywhere and play for anybody but if you have a coach that is working hard to get to know each player and understands what each player needs to be motivated to go 100% then you get the Steelers.
To be fair, we do not get the feet of snow that cleveland gets, this Steeler team isnt used to the snowmageddons of old

Tomlin is so good he hasn’t won a playoff game in seven years. Tomlin is so good his post season win % is a robust 44%. Tomlin is so good he hasn’t been to a Super Bowl since losing to Rodgers in SB 45 how many years ago? Tomlin is so good other coaches – hall of fame coaches – have been let go for less. A LOT less.
That’s what makes Mike T special. He genuinely pours into these guys.

Dolphins interviewed Tomlin in 2007 but then GM , Randy Mueller, deemed him too “hip-hop and picked idiot Cam Cameron who subsequently went 1-15 that season and has been out of football since 2016 after being fired in-season by his last two teams (Ravens and LSU). Mueller has failed upwards with gigs on ESPN and currently with the lousy Saints. Karma.

I certainly think Mikey T is entertaining to watch, but at the end of the day he needs to win a playoff game sometime soon. It's been about seven years since a playoff W. And it's not like the playoff losses are close, his teams get blown out. Like Tomlin, but I like Playoff Ws more. Let's hope for some this year.
Tomlin is one of the most beloved guys for a reason. Guys want to play for him, and want to play hard. Andy Reid and Mike Tomlin are both special. They love the game, and the people playing it at a high level.

Love or hate Tomlin, love or hate the Steelers, no matter what or who he has, he's going to win at least 9 games every year and probably make the playoffs.
I am a Giants fan. It will take 3 or 4 seasons to win 9 games.
The Pittsburgh Steelers rejected the "America's Team" branding because their owner, Art Rooney, believed that the team's primary loyalty should be to the city of Pittsburgh, not a broader national identity; essentially saying, "We are not America's team, we are the Pittsburgh Steelers.".

Mike is such a great man, the adult in the room. Mike seems to talk to the players, not at them. Plus, Mike is all on board with Belichick in UNC. ♥️✌️🏈
The Steelers roll out patchwork teams year after year after year and none of their loudest complainers ever complain about the GM. It's always the coach keeping them afloat who's somehow at fault for not winning playoff games after he already dragged 6 win teams to 9 wins to begin with. Because the former GM couldn't stop drafting divas and the owners wouldnt open the pocketbooks.
Proves on the big stage he still can't do it. Soft defense, terrible coaching of defense .. most expensive defense that can't stop anyone.. really pathetic showing against the eagles. Team has no shot at anything that matters, another one and done.
All of you in love with mediocrity. Tomlin is a motivator, but he isn't strategic. You've got to play chess to win the Super Bowl, Tomlin is drooling on the pieces.
