It's not an american thing to think that you should get paid for working hard; that's consistent around the world. What is an american issue is being so ashamed of your country that you'll only wear the flag for money. That's why Europe is different. We believe in the values that we hold dear, the same values that all of golfs greats believed in; Seve, Montgomerie, Faldo, Garcia (maybe), Langer, Westwood, Olazabal, Jacklin. The Ryder Cup isn't about money, it's about pride and teamsmanship, and on that, you really can't say america compares.
