L.A.B. Putters just released the new Oz.1i, a mallet designed with feedback fro 2013 Masters champion Adam Scott. Like the L.A.B. DF3, the new Oz.1i has Lie Angle Balance, but it also has a milled stainless steel insert and other features. So is the L.A.B. Oz.1i better than the DF3? Which putter, the L.A.B. Oz.1i or the L.A.B DF3 will help you hole more putts?

Had set my mind on a DF3 now they’ve thrown a spanner in the works🤔🤔
Didn’t mention with the regular grip you should order the zero shaft lean option. 1st time they offered this. Not sure why this wasn’t mentioned. In fact if you order the stock with lean you can only order with the press grip. The custom order allows you to order a std grip with no shaft lean. The onset is the same regardless the shaft lean amount is the difference.
Not surprising that LAB also increased the price this season. My DF3 is just fine. Thanks for the information David.

Great video and good explanation of the technology. 30+ years golfing only 3 putters: Zebra, Rossie, EXO Rossie and this one is going to make #4. Do yourself a HUGE favor and do the online fitting from LAB, it's quick and easy and hopefully accurate. I ended up with 0* lean(I use forward press already) and 35" in red.

easyt answer, no its not better, its slightly less forgiving but uses the same technology. Its just a different flavor.
Thanks for the review David. I was really close to pulling the trigger on a DF3, then there was a rush of putters dropped to compete with the DF3, including this OZ. I figured I might as well just wait and try different putters out. I tried the square to square putters as well as the evenroll zero tork putter.
So far nothing feels as easy as the DF3 for me. But I am anxious to try the OZ, as it does look better to the eye.

I love the DF3, but I had some issues with distance control. The softness of the face led to me coming up short on several too many putts. I am curious, why you chose the straight shaft rather than the onset?

Do you feel the LAB putters are worth the additional cost versus Odyssey Square to square. Also I see comments from many people that its harder to lag putt with a LAB putter then traditional putters. Why do think that is?
I really like the surlyn Pure Roll inserts on TaylorMade spiders. Which LAB face do you think is closer in sound and feel?
David, do you foresee a time when LAB may offer different face inserts, e.g. copper?
