Cayase la boca!
Juan Soto we don’t need you
He's playing for the money not the game
Yankee fan since 1960 when I was just 8. Saw a lot of truly great Yankee talent. Mickey, Yogi, Donnie, Reggie, Thurman, Derek. I'm glad we didn't blow $765 MILL on this one , 3 Tool player. There are holes to fill and sometimes the deals you don't make are the best ones. Soto is a very good player. But we have needs!
This guy so so fill of it.. love for the Yankee fan??? No man u sold out . 7 hundred million and 65 and that wasn't enough??? No bro your all about the money.
left the yankees for an extra 5 million..we all know hes all about the money now.. he dont care about winning anymore
Talk about getting caught up in the excitement. Steve Cohen got caught up in the excitement here. Couldn’t do $50M for 5, 6, even 7 years?! This guy could easily get Silk Sheet Syndrome. Even if he came down with it five years from now…screwed for a decade. Not only will the Mets not win with this guy, his contract actually prevents it from happening.
Well that went out the window lol
Overpaid
$51M/yr till he’s 41yro? Dumb money
Is Juan José Soto Pacheco enough for the Mets to win the 2025 World Series? I would say that they already have an important percentage of achieving it. Now in reality, as my daughter Vitali Díaz says, Baseball is a team game, where 9 players go out on the field, and each one must do their part, in order to achieve victory. In addition, there are four variables that must be combined to achieve success: Good Pitching, offense, defense, and the no less important one is the chemistry between the players in the CLUB HOUSE, who are capable of laying down their personal ego, that is, That what matters is not the individual results, but collective ones, if they do so there is more than 90% of winning. There are also players who, in the Regular Series, are extraordinary, but when the Playoffs arrive, their performance drops considerably, leaving much to be desired, as they say in good Dominican, they tighten up, they can't stand the pressure. What doesn't happen with Juan Soto, he is a Caballete, no matter what pitcher they give him, he knows how to handle pressure, regardless of the scenario.
We still need 2,3 players!
Translation = "f you, I'm greedy and needed 1 percent more"
yankees fan – thank you for bringing us to a WS and best of luck
No idea what commitment means.
***SAFE TRAVELS JUAN!😉💙🧡💙also, I Understand this is a Business. NO SHADE to "PINSTRIPES!”
"New York or NOWHERE…" ALL CLASS*… Merry Christmas to the Soto Family, Met’s NATION and to ALL the Fans… Here’s to 2025🥂, IN🫶 & Light,🙏,🌸Bill @billcutolo**
At the end of the day you're a mercenary like 99% of major leaguers and you had no particular connection to the fans. I wasn't surprised but I don't see this as a loss but a possible blessing in disguise, if Cashman makes the right moves.
Soto will crash hard. He lacks the true passion of a Derek Jeter or a Paul O'Neill. At the end of the day, a hot dog is a hot dog.
It's a business. Dude is young, powerful, and got the heavy bag. Respect.
Congratulations, Juan. Now, all you have to do is hit 55 hrs, drive in 130 rbi's, hit .330 and get past the Dodgers. Piece of cake.
Juan Soto is about himself period
Yeah, the money is a factor but when I see a player voluntarily moving from team to team he maybe is wearing his welcome out. Doesn't sound like he's that great of a team mate.
I wanted Soto and congratulations to him for getting the bag and the Mets for getting their man but I didn’t want him at any of these ridiculous prices. There’s a player with similar power numbers, better defensive numbers and better numbers on the base baths in Ronald Acuna go see his contract. Eventually in the not too distant future the Mets will be paying a DH $52 million dollars a year which is why the Ohtani deal is easier to swallow (pause), he also pitches. One man cannot take a team to the promised land…case in point are this years Yankees, last years Padres and take a look at the Nationals the year they won the WS, they were stacked don’t forget Corbin, Scherzer, Strausburgjh, Rosenthal, Strickland, Sanchez, Rendon, Eaton, Gomes, Robles, Trea Turner…it’s truly a team sport. Soto had 40 home-runs last season, 25 of them no more than 325ft, that’s gone and the National league has the best pitching as well. The Mets overpaid, and Mets fans will be doing the same for tickets for a non championship team for the next 15 years. The Dodgers will take care of that. I’m not buying the reasons he gives as to why the Mets over the Yankees…his family and what the future looks like for the teams competing for him look like. It’s definitely the money and playing for the Mets is less pressure. They’re the Mets 😂😂😂
Lier. Can’t be the big dog on the Yankees w/Judge simple as that chase the $ juan turn out like Robbie Cano
We have heroes all over the country and the world putting their lives on line everyday. The money these players get it sickening. This has to stop. This guy desrves this kind of money to play baseball!? Are you kidding me.
Bye 👋
Juan Soto's contract is going to be the worst contract in MLB history. Fact! Yankees can spend $765 million over 15 years much wiser on multiple players that can help the team win a championship. How is that Mets pitching?! Haha
Yankees fans have a message for you too we don’t care bout you anymore. You’re a met . And you greedy
He doesn’t care about winning only the dollar bill
lol how much money does one need. I’d be good with a few million
No way is Soto worth this kind of money. He’s not gonna give you 50 homers. He’ll give you about 10 stolen bases. He’ll be a sub-.300 hitter. Yes, he’ll give you about 100 rbi’s. He’s an average fielder. He’s nowhere near on the same level as Ohtani. So, how’s this dude worth nearly $800 million? I don’t see it🤷♂️
He’s a good ball player, but that’s where good ends.
Yes , $ 765 million
Soto and Judge back to back was must see TV….loved it…..loved Soto….thought he was a much better fielder than expected….great ballplayer….incredible at bats all the time….but…THE YANKEES ARE GOING TO HAVE A BETTER TEAM WITHOUT SOTO….PERIOD….SAY NO MORE!
😂 as a dodger fan bruh still ain’t gonna sniff the series
lol he only say thanks because he was asked
He said it was hard to get along with machado, then he changed his number and didn’t tell his “former” Yankee teammates. He has a no trade clause but can opt out after 5 years. You know the girl with a bunch of crazy exes? Good luck with this one
Good luck Juan. We will miss you.
Not interested in Juan Soto.
Soto learned the script. Empty words, no real content. Yankees fans don’t need ANY WORDS from Soto.
Ur not going to win ur only for urself ur a clown I feel bad for those Mets who been there with no respect
Bottom line was not the money as it was too close to say it was all about the dollar. He didn't want to be a yankee!
Welcome to the Mets!
Mets throwing all that money and will not win the world series.
Invest in pitching and you will have better chances.
Contract will be voided when they find out he is 32 years old!
He looks like he’s 40.
At the end of the day, night begins
