  1. OK, i haven’t been a rugby fan before. I was a soccer guy all my life and I l stopped watching sports altogether about 10 years ago. But the Springboks in the past two years have been amazing and I’ve started following rugby more. Never played rugby at school or anywhere, but this podcast has really helped me understand the game, its history and where it’s going.

But Gents, we need episodes faster after the Bok games! Waiting so long is tough. Please, drop an episode at least 2 days after the game, latest! Thanks for all the great work.

  2. Just love the rugby brain of JDV, learn so much from listening to these guys.
We have so many amazing rugby brains in South Africa

  3. Boks need to have a backup for Etzabeth, Du Toit, Marx and De Allende. These guys are the fulcrum of the team from a physicality perspective. Currently Erasmus has no viable alternative for these guys(Esterhuizen is a great 12 but never gets selected) Tonyball will not be the reason the Boks beat England. It will be their physicality. The Bok physicality is key and some of the subs don't bring it(lookign at you Moerat, Am etc)

  4. 9. Jaden Hendrikse
    10. Sacha
    11. Cheslin
    12. Wilemse
    13. Moodie
    14. Fassi
    15. Jordan Hendrikse

It's not necessarily a backline that would work together but imagine the talent in the pitch.

  5. 42:50 big goal going forward is transition from TB attack to JN ( JF) defence because top teams will expose us. ???Needs to be seamless if that’s possible. I have my doubts. From fast attack running off 9 10 and 12 now. To reset and do blitz defence ??? Top show boys. Like Shimi and JDV bromance 😂

  6. No.8 spot was never a contentious spot Shimmy, it was always Wiese.😉 .
Like to see even more depth on the Nov tour, EvdM, Hooker , Masuku to name a few that deserve a shout.

  7. So France are wasting NZ's time in 2025 by sending a second rate squad.

Southern Hemisphere rugby should just cancel incoming French tours. They're not going to sell out stadiums or bring big TV audiences so they do nothing for the finances of the local union or it's brand value. We should opt out of playing them on the end of season Northern Hemisphere tours too. Let them play their domestic rugby and we'll see them at RWC's.

  8. Deon Fourie is a star🇿🇦🇿🇦did fantastic in the world cup final. Wishing him a speedy recovery Hope to see him in the green and gold again💯🇿🇦🇿🇦

  9. Shimmy, I’m very proud to see you become one of the best rugby commentators, South Africans of the rainbow nation have risen to levels in “ the pursuit of perfect” awesome. 😎

  10. Superb pgm. Can’t wait for the series over autumn internationals. Such great chemistry between all the presenters. Wonderful to watch.

  11. We tend to forget Damien Willemse. The lad is absolutely brilliant, brilliant. Underrated at time but he is the teams Rolce Royce. He's preseason training in Switzerland!!! Geez
